I’ll never let anyone else touch my classic truck other than the mechanic I’ve been going to for the last 6 years. He knows the truck inside and out better than I do. ALWAYS have a good relationship with your mechanic. He’s worked in my other vehicles except my BMW. I take that to the dealership.
I daily drive my classic and one thing Ive learned is its always best to have one place where I get all my advice and help with projects and service if I can't do it myself. There are a lot of people out there that have their own ways of doing things that may or may not work and sure as hell don't work if you piecemeal it together.
I completely understand your frustration here. Especially the part where apparently his brother has 40 years of experience in cars all of a sudden. You’re right. Why is the car at your shop if this guy’s brother is so knowledgeable?
I feel your pain, I was a mechanic for 35 years, I quit 2 years ago, I've still got the garage and all the equipment, I just can't listen to them anymore, they expensive rubbish and complain to me how much it costs to maintain and repair, when you try telling them they don't listen, it's their loss not mine.

Sounds like the brother-in-law can handle everything from here on out. Get your heap out of my garage in 60 minutes or it's getting sent to the crusher. Bye.
Hey man, its his car if he wants to put his hands on it he can right? But in that same respect if your going through this and he brings it back, dont get all upset and ypur blood pressure all up, just hit the guy in the PURSE! if he dont like it just tell him thats the STUPID TAX! ill fix all your fuckups! But its gonna cost ya!

If it weren’t for stupidity mechanics would have a lot less work. As long as you’re taking his money every time you fix someone else’s mistakes let him do what he wants with his own car. If you’re re doing the work for free then the problem isn’t him.
Hey Pat. I don't blame you for being Pissed. That is a sign of disrespect towards you and your shop. Don't mess with something that is running the way it is supposed to work. This guy is a complete idiot for sure. Keep on Rocking Brother.👍👍🍁
A person can have the car worked on by whoever they want and you are more than welcome to refuse service. I don't understand the problem other than him pretending that you don't know your stuff. Other than that, charge enough to make it worth your time and don't worry about it because you're getting paid.
OK Thanks!!! Fixed It!!! Yeah Ol Boy Ran Me Hot This Morning!!! His Car Won't Be Back In My Shop!!! I Have No Problem Firing Customers!!!! Thanks for Watching and Keep Rocking!!!
Everybody wants something for free. Unrelated but I had a guy threaten to sue me for putting his business sign on the corner of the building ( precisely where he asked me to) which normally would not have been a problem but we got a freak storm and 95 mile an hour winds coming ogg the building tore it out.
Yikes ! what a sh!t show. The door situation alone warrants actual work time in billing, no flat rate. Smartest thing you can do is get paid for your work and wish them well in future endeavors. We feel it brother, worked flat rate for years, tough to get a full weeks pay sometimes, even when working your butt off.
lol I didn’t do it, my brother and law did. Cause you know “working on cars” and an actual trained pro are the same….. not. Oh well they work on this one for 40 more years , they may figure it out.

Remember the sign that said.... " I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" every garage should have one in bold print....rock on sir Pat.
Good call Pat. Ain’t nothing wrong with turning that type of customer away.

I don’t know why I got sucked in to listening to this whole rant. But, I did.
Ha ha!
I got 40 years experience making mistakes. Does that make me an expert too 😆 🤣 😂
This is an audible heart attack. Hahahahaha, groan, gasp gasp thud. Why wouldn't you check the vacuum at the booster before turning a wrench?
You got to love it when they do further mods after you work on the car and then try and make the new mods your problem somehow. 🤘😎🎸🏎
Get that disco 'Vette outta there before the camshaft wipes out and he blames you for that as well.
I totally understand all the crying 😢.

When they trade off a perfectly good vehicle for a nightmare vehicle.
Makes sense to me💯💯💯👍👍
Good grief what a hot mess!!
Lmao looks like you are having some c3 fun! Haha
You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run... Something like that.

The tire brand should have been a dead giveaway of the customer you’re dealing with. Why would you put $1,99 tires on a Corvette?
Give um hell !!!😂
Gotta do what you gotta do man!

Should be mandatory that auto mechanics need to take a (2) college classes.
