Even more so the amount of control he had to not make the slash fly instead condense it into an Air Burst is profound in its execution. Mihawk would have been shocked by this achievement even for a brief moment.
His techniques were great until the timeskip where you barely know how he's even moving his swords and the anime worsens that with the DBZ auras and shippuden ep167 inspiration.
