Большое вам спасибо! Without your video, I never would have found that little screw you need to loosen with a 2 mm Allen key. It had got to the point where the torch only came on very intermittently. Thanks to your video, I was able to dismantle it and clean the metal strip that provides the negative contact. I now have a fully-functioning Maglite again :-D
This was very helpful for my old 3dcell maglite that would turn off when focusing ect. I had to stretch the spring that pushes up the bulb housing and polish the outer bulb housing plus the strip that it contacts that had developed wear.
I have a near identical Mag-Lite, but the screw you open at 1:13 was not a 2mm allen key for me, it was a TX 8. But thank you for showing me that there was a screw in there, I would have _never_ found that.
There is a circular retaining clip in the tube (not shown in this video), at the top of the switch assembly; IF you can remove it, you can probably get corroded/ frozen batteries out easier.
Good video. Unfortunately, my 4-Dcell Maglite has the two batteries nearest the lamp "frozen" due to leakage of the corrosive battery contents and then accumulation of corrosion products from chemical attack of the Al tube. Even following the well made video, the stinkin' batteries are still stuck. Any thoughts?
use a wood drill to bore the batteries out. possibly remove snap ring retainer from the disassembled flashlight head area. then maybe use vinegar to loosen batteries and push batteries out the with a dowel.
nice video thanks. now to find the problem and then replacement parts if i can't clean it . my kids decide to use my mag, lite as a bath toy "battieres out" and left it full of water . i got the button to click again but to no avail as yet on why no connection . thanks again :)
Every Maglite I have owned has been a piece of shit. I just destroyed a three D cell that didn't work right out of the package. That will be the last one I buy.
Would've been a great "FULL VIDEO" had you shown where every single rubber "O-Ring" went... Thanks anyway but I need to know where all the rubber O-Ring went
Thumbs down, very annoying music, beautiful but totally out of place. (Too bad, you Russians are the leaders in classical ) 2 mm Allen wrench doesn't fit

Nice Tutorial. Was very useful. I was about to destroy my Mag, but thanks to this, there ist no need for that

OUTSTANDINGLY AWESOME the internet has finally proved it's usefulness and justified a reasonable amount of it's cost.
Thanks! Learned about the little screw behind the on/off button to take it apart!

Your video was the best because it was the only one that helped me fix my flashlight!!!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!
Grazie a te , sono riuscito a pulire la maglite.

Allen Key is a 5/64. Be sure to insert the allen all the way in until it bottoms out then star turning.
In the case of the original Mag LED (2 D-cell), you're both wrong.
@@SwimmingintheDeep It's been a while now, but I think it was 2.5mm. IIRC, I stripped it using a 5/64".
There is a retainer ring inside mine. So the assembly will not come out when I screw the screw inside the button loose. Serial D40
Very useful video, though it could have had better lighting. Some details are hard to see.
this video is great it helped me fix my flash light aka my mag light
the most necessary is not shown. How to disassemble the stopper ring, which stands on the side of the lamp in the lantern housing.

How do I remove the LED lightbulb on Three AA Cell batteries?????
Thanks from 4 d club,
Every Maglite I have owned has been a piece of shit. I just destroyed a three D cell that didn't work right out of the package. That will be the last one I buy.
I've just changed the buld and the o-ring has fallen out. Can anyone tell me where it goes? Thanks
Их там 3 штуки одно под заглушкой одно под регулировкой и одно под стеклом
I didn't realize there were so many people who didn't know how to use their volume button.
*WARNING:* This does _not_ work on the original Mag LED (mine is 2 D-cell, but I presume all C- and D-cell ones are the same.
Да самое ценное не показано - как снять стопорное кольцо со стороны лампы.
Need the size of the tool.. was it allen hex, or torx? And what size? VERY CRITICAL INFO or video is worthless.
allen key 2мм

tonelar415 allen key 2мм
No that kind of useful explanation when "googling" in French. You should add " Demonter demontage lampe torche Maglite grande taille "
Kill the soundtrack
