While I think this video explains divergent thinking and the SCAMPER technique pretty well, I don't think using "smarties" as an example is a great idea. 1) using smarties as the foundation is alright, however, the video tends to find ideas of substitute products or combined products that already exists. By coming up with ideas that already exists, it just limits the videos overall message. I can understand that the approach has been taking from a smarties product developer point of view, but in this case, it does not justify the SCAMPER method well enough. 2) By coming up with already existing products, the author here just shows that they, themselves, weren't able to use the SCAMPER method properly. Just my two cents. But, the video is great at illustrating examples of how to use the SCAMPER method, just the example used could have been better :)

the SCAMPER definition of adapt is How could you adapt or readjust this product to serve another purpose or use? What else is the product like? Who or what could you emulate to adapt this product? What else is like your product? What other context could you put your product into? What other products or ideas could you use for inspiration? Hope that helps....

Is there was a way to download and burn it onto a DVD and if that was possible, whether you would permit this?

I was struggling to understand the difference between the two and had to give it a quick google 😅 Like, the difference between a chocolate chick and a chocolate pumpkin, there isn't much difference just some creative criticism, overall i thought the video was very helpful!

***** yeah abusive on youtube is ABUSIVE trust me. I like the idea but I feel the examples aren't good. I mean some of them are interchangeable. I think in one you had an easter egg but in another you had halloween product - both pretty much the same principle/application. I'm an artist so trying to see if I can use it for my workflow. Seems better suited to brands though.
IMHO: Turn the music off, its very annoying and there is no commentary. Uber upbeat presentation with rather weak examples especially in the rearrange and adaptive sections.
My teacher showed me this in class too! Highly effective and I would recommend this to EVERYONE!!!

What does using adapt to get a "Chick" mean? I don't really understand that part.
cuz smarties are like eggs, shell on the outside and and chocolate on the inside. That's why she uses Chick- adapt from ideas of eggs
