videogameflumingo Exactly. I’m just hoping he doesn’t get the Homer Simpson treatment by going too far with said ego. This is still Mario after all. If he became a full-blown asshole the entire time, I’d fucking hate it. In LM3, he WAS a slight bit of a jerk during the climax when he tries to rush Luigi up the tower, but the catch is that he rushes ahead because he’s overwhelmed with anxiety for the Princess, and he didn’t want to leave her vulnerable. It was one of the few times in his life that he felt truly powerless, seeing the princess in that frame and him not having any power to help her other than his brother. I loved that part, because you actually get to experience this RARE side of Mario’s personality first-hand, and it comes to show how much different this game would be if it were a Mario platformer. Seeing him actually wall jump was incredible, since it was second nature in Mario platformers, but here, it becomes integrated in Mario’s personality. He was more then just any ol' "Jump-Up Super star" but he was also more then the funny and humble grandpa we all wished we had, but still an unreplaceable national treasure we held so dear!
Mario speaking full sentences is so surreal and it feels natural. All I wish is that the games followed this. I know Miyamoto's insistent that his games don't need stories, but it would help with giving it more personality. I get that the silent character trope relies on the character being mostly silent so that you can fill in how they're feeling in a certain situation through your own mind and that's a cool concept and all, but I really wish they used the voice cast's opportunities a bit more. What do you guys think?
It feels natural because that's what the voice was made for. We've all seen the floating wario head. That's what he was hired for. To talk to audiences live for hours on end at conventions to showcase the power of.. some silicon graphics computer.
Charles is a real trooper voicing the character for 10 whole minutes along with some imitations of other characters while still using Mario's iconic voice it's so cool to see the Italian American plumber speaking full sentences and yes he's an Italian American born and raised in Brooklyn New York I'm pretty sure Nintendo confirmed that
They should let Mario (and everyone else) have a fully voiced speaking role in the rest of his games! Based on this, he would really add to the comedy aspect of the series!
Others might be a challenge. Like Yoshi, Birdo, Kamek, Boo, Donkey Kong, Professor E. Gadd ETC, since they all have Japanese voice actors, whose takes are already iconic at this point.
If that Mario movie Illumination is making features Mario speaking full sentences like this, and they kind of emulate his personality from this clip, then it might have a chance of actually being good

Why can't Mario talk like that in his games?
Pedro Alejandro Rosi Cause Nintendo doesnt want their characters to have development.
Because as funny as it is, Mario's kind of a jerk in this.
Okoa How?
Probably because Charles Martinet only speaks English (As far as I know) and Nintendo doesn't want to hire multiple Mario voice actors.
Doctor Minjinx Umm,Super Mario Sunshine?Localization doesn't really matter,it's up to whether Miyamoto wants to or not
Did Nintendo actually make this? Did Charles Martinet actually voice this?
Yes
Nikes Gray yup on the wii, I used to owned it
Nikes Gray yep
They were never in the movie. They couldn't find a fitting scene for them.
Any ideas WHERE you heard that rumour? 'Cause I'm hoping it's true. Charles Martinet is awesome.
He was more then just any ol' "Jump-Up Super star" but he was also more then the funny and humble grandpa we all wished we had, but still an unreplaceable national treasure we held so dear!
Who else is here after Chris Pratt was announced as Mario's voice for the movie?
I see Mario Sports Mix, but I hear Mario Teaches Typing...

I like how he says "Toad" at 0:59

But he'll be speaking Hylian
Plot Twist: It’s CDI Link.
Announcer: “So Link tell us about yourself.” Link: “HYUH HYUH HAH HAH HYUH HYUH”
cutieart55red art ッ no he’ll be grunting
HYAH!

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I EVER HEARD A MII TALK! MIND-BLOWN!
*Toad talking music for SM64 plays*
This commentary of Mario reminds me of Mario's

I love how Mario (and Charles Martinet by extension) always addresses women with the title “Princess.”
He sees ‘em for what they are.
Wholesome that he does that.
Of course, however, NOT ALL girls or even women like being called a princess, so... 🤷🏻♀️
"I'm-a the weiner!"

Do you mean, “I’m-a the winner!”?
When Mario talks, his actually funny :D
Mario speaking full sentences is so surreal and it feels natural. All I wish is that the games followed this. I know Miyamoto's insistent that his games don't need stories, but it would help with giving it more personality. I get that the silent character trope relies on the character being mostly silent so that you can fill in how they're feeling in a certain situation through your own mind and that's a cool concept and all, but I really wish they used the voice cast's opportunities a bit more. What do you guys think?
Welp the voice actor just recently retired.
@@tjlnintendo I HEARD IM SO SAD WHYYYYYY
@@CorruptFox92
He is 67 years old. I guess his retirement time had to come sometime.
@@tjlnintendo You're right...Farewell, Mario.
It feels natural because that's what the voice was made for. We've all seen the floating wario head. That's what he was hired for. To talk to audiences live for hours on end at conventions to showcase the power of.. some silicon graphics computer.
WE LOVE YOU, MARIO!!

Don't forget Shigeru Miyamoto.
Charles is a real trooper voicing the character for 10 whole minutes along with some imitations of other characters while still using Mario's iconic voice it's so cool to see the Italian American plumber speaking full sentences and yes he's an Italian American born and raised in Brooklyn New York I'm pretty sure Nintendo confirmed that
I like mario being absolutely fed up with his shit
But Mario hasn't saved Daisy since Super Mario Land....
cuz daisy is with luigi
GamingWithNabil well mario saves daisy like 2 times
I guess she went to beat up bowser for being a complete simp, and wack his ass to the moon again :3
@@subzerothegrandmaster6185 Oh yes! He saved Daisy in Super Mario Run (Remix 10 Game Mode)!
@@ndkfibbdlsn2969 No... '-'
They should let Mario (and everyone else) have a fully voiced speaking role in the rest of his games! Based on this, he would really add to the comedy aspect of the series!
*MARIO! HOW DARE YOU DISTURB MY FAMILY VACATION*
Others might be a challenge. Like Yoshi, Birdo, Kamek, Boo, Donkey Kong, Professor E. Gadd ETC, since they all have Japanese voice actors, whose takes are already iconic at this point.
@@Mac14329 Kazumi Totaka (the voice of modern Yoshi) could take some English Language classes...
@@StevenVillman But it would take a long time to be fluent in it.
Also, there's the other actors too.
@@Mac14329 Hmmm, then again, Broken English could kinda fit Yoshi, idk.
If that Mario movie Illumination is making features Mario speaking full sentences like this, and they kind of emulate his personality from this clip, then it might have a chance of actually being good
Chris Pratt
If I could ask Mario a question it would be this: "One time, you and Luigi partnered up with baby versions of yourselves from another time. Do you or Luigi remember anything from that as a baby?"
Parker Copon YEOOOO XDDDDDDD
He does remember, in Bowser's Inside Story he tells Starlow that he and Luigi defeated the Shroobs as babies
@@linus6718, the question was if their baby selves have any memory of those events
Goodbye Charles Martinet! We’ll always remember your work fondly!!
