I'm the mother of a 15 year old boy. He doesn't even workout (he's a gamer) and he can already do 5 pull ups in a row and pick me up & carry me up and down the stairs in our house without stopping to rest until he gets to the top to put me down. Let's get real here.

I used to be in REALLY good shape for the average woman. I could almost bench press my own weight, but it took me about two years of working out to get to that point. I probably could have sped that up with a more focused fitness and vitamin regimen (I only ever really used protein powders), but I know for a fact that the guys I worked out with were gaining muscle and strength at a much faster pace than I was. Their gains were way more pronounced than mine ever were, and that's even taking into consideration that I was a couch potato when I started, so my early gains were pretty fast. Testosterone is one helluva potent performance enhancing "drug", and men naturally produce far more of it than any woman ever will. Even at my strongest as an adult woman I would never have been able to go toe-to-toe with the average teenage boy. Let alone a full-grown man. I have heard my male friends talk about "old man strength" when referring to their fathers and how at some point those old men showed their relatively young pups who was still in charge. That is not something anybody would ever expect to see from old women. Or even young women.

Iga, the number #1 tennis player, ranks 400th on the mens list. Let me repeat it. She ranks 400th on the mens side. That means a 400th seed on the mens side could obliterate her at tennis. Men just naturally have better physiques, given the development of their muscles through long-term exercise. That isn't to suggest that female athletes are unworthy of respect, and I do enjoy women's boxing (I'm an Irish guy, so I have to like Katie Taylor) and MMA, among others. However, as a general rule of thumb, men are stronger and faster than women, so their sports tend to be of a higher physical quality, even if the entertainment factor is subjective.

I'm a woman and i agree with this

    • @tubetorpedo
      @tubetorpedo 5 місяців тому +2

Not sure what the point is, there are plenty of women who have been active and exercising since kids (so long term exercise), those are usually people who end up in professional sports because they clearly enjoy exercising they bodies and physical activities so they naturally lean towards athleticism and various sports. E.g. I have one niece who has been quite natural athlete and very active (by her own volition) from early age and does all kinds of physical sports and has even won against + 3-5 years older than her in certain competitions she has attended (e.g. because there was not enough younger participants so they put her in upper age group because she showed abilities).
But those kinds of women still lose to men in most physical sports (I think there are various sports, shooting sports etc. where women could compete with men evenly). This is not to belittle women, but state what reality is.
Also no sensible person is suggesting women are unworthy of respect, it just means in most physical sports they lose to men. Just like your average lightweight boxes loses to heavyweight boxer. Not because they are unworthy, but because e.g. in boxing muscle and weight matters quite a much thus weight classes were used.
Just like we have women's leagues or e.g. kids leagues. A kid can be upcoming world champion in any given sports, we do not put them against adult athletes because they are literally in different leagues based on their abilities at that point of life. Not because we think kids are unworthy either, they just lack numerous things and abilities they would need to compete against adult athletes. If they could compete evenly I see why wouldn't e.g. 10 years old run with 20 year old's, there are already 20 y-o competing with 30 year old's or older in various sports.

So the average boy is not better than a D1 caliber girl. What Jeremy is trying to say is that there are around 300-400 high school boys every year that beat womens world record times. These very elite boys obviously. The average boy is obviously much better than an average girl that goes without saying.

It's more than just speed and strength. When my wife and I watch movies we have to explain to each other different parts because our eyes aren't capable of seeing what the other person saw. When something fast happens like some sort of martial arts or something my wife will often completely miss it when I caught every detail. She can't see as "fast" as I can. But in dramatic scenes where there are lots of close ups on people's faces so they can emote I will miss very small changes in color or facial expression that my wife finds impactful or very relevant. If you imagine a traditional hunter gatherer society with the genders divided so that men hunt and women gather this makes a lot of sense. Being sensitive to movement is essential for finding prey. But a very small difference in color can be the difference between a ripe and nutritional fruit and an unripe or, worse, poisonous one.

Was skinny growing up and always last in gym/phys ed crap. Sucked at softball, baseball, basketball, and football and soccer were the worst.
Was mocked and bullied every single day of my public school life (2nd grade to 12th grade - class of 96 and 99 (got GED in 99) because I was so different emotionally and physically from my peers.
Emotionally because I was withdrawn, shy, reserved, depressed, and by junior high I had anxiety and anti-social issues. Physically because I never went through puberty..... In 96 and in the state of Ohio, phys ed was a state req to graduate. Guess which class I refused to take in HS? Got 48 out of 40 creds necessary to graduate, but wasn't allowed because of Gym. I was being bullied enough as is, there was no way in Hell I was going to strip and take open showers with anyone.
I can honestly say I know what it's like to grow up without friends. Got my first friend when I was 20 and we eventually became blood brothers. We don't talk as much these days cuz he's wayyyy out of state, but he'll always be my best friend.
    Meh, got off topic.
Anywho, yeah...most men are better with beating women at stuff. I'm just happy if I win a card game or a board game.

      Do not lie.
      Do not steal.
      Do not commit adultery.
Do not insult God by using his name as a cuss word.
There are six more but let's just leave it at that.
How many lies have you told in your life?
Have you ever taken anything that didn't belong to you?
Jesus said, if you look at a women lustfully you've already committed adultery in your heart with that woman.
How many times a day do you do that?
Do you use God's name as a cuss word?
Would you do that with your own mother's name?
If you answer these questions honestly you know that you're guilty.
God can justly punish you and send you to hell.
      Ask him for mercy.
His name is Jesus. It's as simple as this, The Ten Commandments are called the moral law. You and I broke God's laws. Jesus paid the fine.
      The fine is death.
      Ezekiel 18:20 -
"The soul who sins shall die."
That's why Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins. This is why God is able to give us Mercy.
      Option A.
You die for your own sins.
      Option B.
Ask for mercy and accept that Jesus died on the cross for you.

      **Honest questions are welcome.**

I'm not even watching this rn. Maybe later. But, for a quick and dirty psychological approach:
Men find value in competitiveness, boiling even further down into trust and vulnerability. It takes courage and friendship to risk getting hurt by another, be it a bro tackle on the couch or rules on the court. It takes honor and grace to come in second or third and congratulate the winner... let alone keep competing and participating when you're in the middle of the hierarchy. Manly bonding is specifically designed to happen over this trust/ vulnerability/ skill, as it proves who has your back in the hunt or at war.
Traditional sports is a direct twin, as it strokes all of those natural instincts to bond together as male humans. You pick a team? Makes you vulnerable to teasing, and to loss, but it gives you bros to support and rewards if you win. You want to compete? It was designed for men in the first place.
Women? We instinctually bond over group activities that are productive, nurturing and distributive. The book club, where it's not just the book you talk about, but the goings on among families. Who needs what, how can you help? The church group, ready and organized to bring meals to the new parents. The quilting club that gossips over the frame, the farmers market moms, etc. Women bond over supplying each other's tangible and intangible needs. The only competition we have between each other is the pecking order, which is the mean girl bullying clique, of course dating/ marriage, and who can provide the best. Who has the best outfit? Who can make the best lasagna? Who is the kindest?
Women and sports do not mix because there is no instinctual need for it. We're in pain 25% of our best years anyway from cramps, let alone child birth (if you survived it before modern medicine), we have to work together to make dinner and feasts for the group, we need to support each other for the tribe to function. If we aren't unified there is no village for men to return to. Competition between women is all about mates and position in the pecking order, it does not build comraderie but is a threat to one's position in the hierarchy.
This is why boys will invite girls to play or try to wrestle them, only for the girl to get freaked out. The boy instinctually was trying to show he wanted the girl to be around and join, he wanted to play and risk vulnerability and built trust in tag or wrestling. But the girl instinctually sees that tackle and game as a challenge to her position. If she's not ready to lose her position, if she's not ready to potentially face ridicule and bullying from her entire pecking order (not just the immediate friend group), that boy's invite is a threat. She then has to follow the pecking order's rules and verbally belittle the opposition, name calling and such, because to just close up would be worse than an embarrassing and social status losing face plant in the mud.
Tl;dr Challenge activities make men's bonds stronger through trust and vulnerability. Those same actives are antithetical to women's bonding because competition among each other is a social ladder challenge.
Source: I'mma Tom boy, and honestly likely an actual medical trans man lol. My body is female, but my brain has never been interested in the dumb social games girls and women play. I find it all to be back stabbing and detrimental, when ideally you want to build each other up... but I have yet to encounter a group of women who prioritizes the building over the pecking order pissing contest. I've always been down to play video games, football, discuss the Silmarillion or directly debate anything. But then puberty hit, guys were awkward around me (because think Tsunade, no matter how loose my shirts and pants it's still an hourglass), and now as an adult I have no friends because bio sex is a wall. Women hate me because any discussion is a challenge to their vision of the world and they cannot look bad or risk losing ground in their circles. Men, especially coworkers whom I can chat geekily about anime or Steam or whatever, will glance at my body out of instinct and turn away, then not talk for awhile or avoid me all together because, "You make our wives uncomfortable," when I'm asexual and never flirtatious. Couple this with too much early childhood and childhood psychology from my gymnastics and K-12 music educating, and everything falls into place.

And yes, some men are uncomfortable around me too. And I respect that because I'm not a jerk and understand their visual input is much stronger by design. I don't force interactions lol. But I get along much better in a male setting vs a female one, and my body gets in the way of both.

"The average high school boy involved in track runs faster than world-record Olympian women."
I'm looking forward to this movie as much as anyone, but this statement is an exaggeration at best and flat-out false at worst. I follow track & field pretty closely, especially running events. It doesn't matter whether it's 100m or 5000m, the women's records for these events are in the 10.4's and low 14's, respectively. Now granted, those times wouldn't win any high school boys state championships, but the "average high school boy" isn't running those times either. Far from it.

. The avg high school boy involved with track is not faster than world class Olympic women. This is just not true. I said avg. the high-end elite high school athlete yes, but that’s far from the average.
Also the women lost to U-15 boys. Not debating that fact. But they put on like it was a high school team. It was one of the leading scorer academies in the U.S. my point is that the average high school athlete is not better than elite women.
