- thought i would let you guys into a week of my life in boarding school, it is sooooo much fun i freaking love my school and the people in it… this is by far one of my favourite blogs I’ve done ever on my channel, literally watch all the way through you won’t regret it. FYI I LOVE MY ROOMMATE THERE IS NO HATE BETWEEN US ITS ALL BANTER!!!

Nooo its not. THINK PLEASE. It sucks. My sis went to one and it was absolutely horrible on her. Dont waste your once in a lifetime teenage years at a school that puts a bunch if pressure, lots of racism and bullying, overworked, much to high expectations, extreme tuition for a term and you get nothing out of it. Not to mention a lot of rules and policies and super duper strict. Wifi cuts out at 11 etc.. takes away all sorts of freedom you had at home. They don't care about student life at all. Please do not make a bad decision. I am warning you...

Kayla absolute torture, I know this sounds dramatic but it’s like I’m in prison. We eat, sleep and are forced to do work in there plus at my school teachers couldn’t give less of a fuck if you’re failing

Same! Ok, I DID 🙈 I went to Stowe (kind of like Eton), so it couldn’t have been more different... and it was 20 or so years ago 😂 Kate’s School look pretty chilled though.
I have a daughter about Kate’s age & she went to a normal High School. If I’d had the money (and her Mum was in agreement) I would have liked to opportunity to send her to Private School (usually Boarding)... but that’s in another reality I guess. She’s doing well so I can’t complain at all.
I think Boarding School gives you a lot of independence & confidence at a time when it’s really needed 🙂 I was badly bullied at Boarding School, from about 8-16. The last x2 years (16-18), when I was doing my A Level, I kinda managed to keep my head down & stand up for myself a bit more.
Bullying is probably the only real downside of Boarding Schools imo, because it’s harder to address because you’re kinda stuck at the School with the Bullies. What do you reckon?

@@ughmariam616 Depends on the one you go for. Some are a free ride, and others...well aren't. You can also get financial aid as well for some, that normally takes a certain amount out of the tuition each year if you are eligible for it.

Lmao 😂 I wish I went to your type of boarding school. My boarding school was horrible more than 50 people in a hall, no gadgets allowed, you don’t see your parents for four months, bullying was at its peak, religious activity was compulsory and sooo many other stressful things 😭😭😭

Hey Kate 🙂 Not sure how you appeared in my YT Feed but it’s cool that you did. I used to go to Boarding School too but the 1st one was a traditional British Boarding School when I was 8 (boys only) & then I went to Stowe, which is kinda posh but still ok. We only had Girls in the 6th Form there, but now they take Girls from 13 I think.
It looks like you have it pretty good there - I’m trying to work out if you’d be allowed Smart Phones at my old school, but I guess you would - they’d have to roll with the times Lol I thought I was a rebel for having a PAGER back then 🙈
I’m 38 now but I have a daughter who’s about your age. She went to a normal High School though so she didn’t board anywhere. I have mixed opinions about Boarding Schools now, but I know I was very lucky to attend the Schools I did.

Some are Melissa Lol I agree though, Kate seems cool. I think a lot depends on WHICH Boarding School it is - i.e. Who runs it & what its heritage is.
I went to Stowe 😬 (kinda up there with Eton on the ‘Posh-As-F*ck’ Scale 🙈) and there were certainly a lot of Grade A Snobs there. I like to think I’m very down-to-earth though - I had quite a Snobby upbringing but I’ve managed to ground myself since I left school... 20 years ago (Ok, NOW I feel old Lol) x

This is so different to the school I go to which is a boarding school 😂 it’s so strict and we ain’t even allowed off of the premises. We get town leave once a week for an hour and that’s only for the supermarket 😂 dang
