@@kylee6051 I meant that the Cabal in the first game were just "lightly armed" scouting legions on an extended campaign and by the second they bring in their most powerful legion along with the de facto emperor and still lose. I also thought the whole point of the Vex was that they were just architects and managers and had no concept of war?

The Vex haven't gotten a good raid since Vault of Glass. Seems like the black garden is a good start. Time for Bungie to put together everything they have learned.
If they can put together a raid with the mystery and feel of VoG I'll be happy. Something about vog made it so unique

@TheLion_ 9208 it's the "grandfather murder" dilemma. if you go back in time and kill your grandfather, then you wouldn't be born, which in turn leads to you not being able to go back and murder your grandfather, but then what happens with you? and then time explodes and the MIB has to come clean it up.
if the Exo stranger stayed and explained the situation, then we would've been able to make preparations and prevent this supposed tradegy from happening, meaning she didn't have a reason to go back, but then who comes back and explains the situation so we can make the preparations?

THEORY:
Bungie wouldn't call this "Season of the Undying" by coincidence; there was a Vex boss in D1 named the Undying Mind, which was trying to resurrect the Black Garden's heart. Let's consider what we know from the past four years:
- Oryx took Quria, the first known Vex Axis Mind in our dimension.
- Quria has demonstrated the ability to simulate someone's past from the barest scraps of information retrieved by the Vex Gate Network.
- Quria was gifted to Savathun by Oryx.
- Savathun has been heavily implied to be ruling the Hive and Taken since D2 dropped, and started the chain of events in Forsaken that led to her cyclically gaining more power every three weeks in the Dreaming City.
CONCLUSION: Savathun has tapped into Quria's paracausal powers, and can simulate our worst enemies from whatever observations the Vex have made about us. After all, we've been in proximity to Gates on Venus, Mars, Mercury, Nessus, and Io, which were epicenters of major conflicts. The Vex are always watching...
It's already a known fact that Quria has the powers to "Take" from trying to simulate Oryx and because Savathun taught Quria the intricacies of Hive magic.
Quria created the time loop in the Dreaming City which is why Dul Incaru returns there every 3 weeks.
Savathun also infiltrated the Leviathan through the Crown of Sorrow and burrowed into Calus' loyalists.

Took me a while to realize this but this is just a guess: Since we only see 1 harpy and 1 minotaur the height of a boss, come out from the portal... The harpy is Consecrated Mind and the minotaur is Sanctified Mind. But this is them before they came contact with the Darkness that is/was in Garden of Salvation, the raid that they released.
Destiny 2 has gone from being one of the worst game purchases ive ever made to one of the best games ive ever played over the past few years. So hyped for shadowkeep and the new season!

I love these older Vex models, I really wish they would explore the origins and give a proper main line villain to the neutral vex who aren't commanded by the light or dark.
Their leader may as well be the Vex Central Core.

This trailer gives us SO MUCH information on how the Vex are created and I love it. I love that we have some concrete evidence to support that they're the life form in the white goo, and that it's really been visualized. Vex are just mini-mechs for a race much more powerful, and smaller than our own. Fascinating!
Finally we will see the dlc that should be right after Taken King!!

No. They revisited the theme. They had this idea back in the day, it didn't work out for whatever reason and they put it aside. After Forsaken, they revisited the idea.

They said that with year 3 of Destiny, they will begin making the different seasons like story arcs with one dlc having events that will hint at the next chapter. In Shadowkeep the vex will be invading the solar system, so the next dlc after Shadowkeep will most likely be about the Vex.

@@rezzy3964 considering the fact that the cutscene was leaked around Feb 2017, it was intended for D2. Another factor would be we have never seen nor were there any places as we see in the cutscene in D1. The pyramidion is what we see here which tells me this was intended for D2. Vex void was discovered by a poorly taken picture back when Dark Below was released. What most likely happened was that they scrapped that, decided they were going to add it into D2, most likely for Curse of Osiris. Activision probably had a substantial say in that so it never happened. I will say that leaked cutscene though definitely was not made back in D1 and was most likely made in preparation for D2's launch.

Random loot includes random blues, Package weapons, anything not considered a powerful reward will drop at the game’s soft cap.
Ex: if the soft cap is at 850, everything that is not a powerful reward will drop at 850 and below

To be clear, the Hive are much more 'associated' to being 'undead' in Destiny. The Vex qre different from that.
@@CaptainPilipinas but it's the season of the "undying". While hive can be killed, can you truly kill the vex? Vex exists throughout time, so let's say we killed Atheon. Who's to say there isn't a past version of him alive in another timeline. Or a timeline were we failed?
Oryx on the other hand was considered a king, even Crota was a prince. Yes we killed them in the physical realm, be then we killed them in their own ascendant Realms too. Effectively killing them.
