- Storm chasers observe a possible tornado just southwest of Jackson, MS during a moderate risk day across the Mid-South for severe weather
It's awesome to see you taking up time with that young man to teach him what you know. As a former Science teacher, I really appreciate it.
That was a really well developed supercell. Honestly I don’t think today was as bad as it could have been in terms of tornadoes
The early radars were showin some monsters. It could have been so much worse
*God if I know this year so far, the lack of big ones today is going to be substituted by something else just as bad in the near future…*
@@finlandball1939 shhhh

you and Ryan Hall Yall do the best coverage
Reed, that looks so wicked! I never thought about the hills affecting tornados, until today. I’m not sure why, I know winds get stronger in fires, as it draws up like a chimney. Yes, we do get tornados here, in Jonesboro, but most storms go north or south as for tornados. Like it’ll hit Bono AR to the west of Jonesboro, and then between eastern side of Jonesboro and the craighead county line where both are flat as a pancake. All the NOAA people here, must not chase like you and Vince. I take it they set up and get readings. Anyway, thanks for getting back to me.
I head to Blytheville ar, down 55 then I crossed into ten ending my chase in collierville. I haven’t watched yours or vinces footage of today, but if your ever in or around Jonesboro, I’d love to meet you and Vince. Maybe you know Ryan Vaughn he works for KAIT8, I’m sure he’d love to meet ya.
I’ll end with this, I’ve noticed some problems with local weather radar. The average person watches the local news to get updates of radar, that works Great until the tower get hit. I have also seen the emergency alerts, the tests, don’t show anything, whether real or just testing them, it never puts up counties, cities, nothing. The other question, maybe you could talk to Garmin and GPS, tie that in with weather. I work a lot of accident scenes in horrible conditions, recently between snowstorms, blizzards, rain, and heavy fog it’s killing a lot of peeps Driving stupid. If weather was tied in with GPS, I guess that would be called the Reed GPS Scale, or something like it. I know with forest fires that Fire uses maps the show terrain, the smoke jumpers train for scenarios like fire moving up canyons and mountains. I’m betting the plains will show it’s just flat, but you put a terrain and overlay it with hills, it’s going to show up. I’m betting that’s make a Great thesis for someone. Stay safe and let me know if your chasing near Jonesboro, AR. Be safe, and know that when the shit hits the fan and peeps are injured, people like myself and other first responders will be there if needed. If ya get a chance, let me know what ya think about these ideas.
I’m just a 77 year old grandma but I think you have solid ideas.
My son is a crash rescue fireman. C-130H navigator/pilot Col. from WY National Guard.
God bless you for what you do. Thank you.
Many prayers and much love coming your way.
Great quality footage, crisp.i hope you had some extra flex tape strips for Vince ,great product opportunity.
I do have some flex tape for Vince
Yeah..That was the first thing I thought after we heard about Vince's car roof and instruments!
I was like "Ooooo! Reed can fix it with FlexTape!" 😆
Reed Timmer... U Sir r my hero!

still wish Storm Chasers was aired on TV
It was a long time ago, but was stopped in like 2013
Me too! I loved that show.
@@nappa3550 LOL Hence “I still wish Storm Chasers was aired on TV” 🤦
Awesome footage! Thanks!
Thanks for another 👍 Chase!
Reed was in my area in Iowa 2 days ago and now he’s in the southern states. The weather has become increasingly dangerous for many parts of the US and the planet. Stay safe everyone. These monsters are very dangerous and can happen anytime ❤️
I'm learning so much from watching. Thank you for all you do, and for just being you. I know when your swearing, you mean it! 😀 Totally authentic Reed.
I heard a clip today with you and your mom storm chasing. She cracked me up. I really love her! I could only imagine her hollering at you when you were a youngin
Haha she is awesome isn’t she! Can’t believe that was 7 years ago
I would like to shout out Empire Truck Sales and Stribling Equipment Inc for being beautiful front drops for that beautiful looking supercell!

Following along with Ryan Hall (y'all) during this.

YOU ARE THE MAN REED , any time your in Spfld Mo say hello !!
Lol I'm the first comment! This is a crazy video I like it Reed Timmer! Keep up the work! Never, Stop, Chasing! 🌪️👌
Gorgeous storm.
FRICK YEAH!!!! 🙌
I need somebody to please explain to me what Reed is talking about when he refers to an occlusion. I've always that occluding means ending
🌪👍 way to find that storm
There was a tornado that touched down on the northeast of Jackson International Airport. It lasted between 45 seconds to 1 minute.
Be careful chasing in Jackson. Most of that town is more dangerous than a tornado.
No joke!
That's massive.....
Don't even think about it.
😎👍 🚫🛑 CHASING 🌪️❤️
Hope y’all be safe
Nice storm, she's a beaut.
Are you kind of surprised that there haven't been any large tornadoes given the size of these super cells? It's been crazy weather no doubt but no major twisters.
We had two EF3s here in South Carolina one had winds of 137mph and the other 160mph
👍👍
Hey reed you were on a video the youtuber is Mark Peyton vlogs
Are you still out there?
Wowzer!! 😬
How high up can his drone fly??
Need more trees planted for windbreakes
You should have been in Richland I got great pictures on my channel brother stay safe out there.
Just head to Memphis tomorrow
This must be a replay

Too bad Reed didn't get to witness either of the EF3's here in South Carolina last week in person. Tornado alley is lacking so far but could be too soon to say that.
Yes I sure have been botching up chases all over the place these last few years
Sorry boys, no cigar. 🤣
My girlfriend lives in Jackson

This cell looks just like the ones my game produces. I must be doing something right
Making a game eh?
Advice, have maybe a couple maps representing different terrain (like one based on Dixie Alley, then on the midwest, etc. Also one on big cities.
I have no understanding on how to make a game, but that it is a long and tedious process. Just some tips.
@@nappa3550 It is one massive open world. Mainly based off texas/oklahoma area
@@unrealengine5-storm713 oh ok. But does it have differing terrain? Like it's not all flat? From a consumer standpoint that would really make the experience more immersive.
100th like✌
