    I’ve done it on my hockey mat in my lawn about 5000 times now. I can do it every time😅. So it’s worth the time to practice because even a rec hockey player can do it

  • @fastj1962
    @fastj1962 4 роки тому

    I know everyone thinks this is a “Michigan” but I learned it on roller from a 14 year old Aaron Hammer refereeing a your roller hockey game at “side by side “ a roller and ice facility in Huntington Beach ca. Long before that Michigan game. On roller you can roll it from the heel to the toe and the puck is on. You don’t really scoop it noticeably.
    I literally can do it one handed (either hand) and it’s a great tool to motivate young kids at the power skating camps or clinics I used to coach.
    I call it the lefty rap around. You do this move against teams you don’t like or teams you like.... my rule is never if your winning. It’s unstoppable unless a logging defenseman is there then your getting your arm chopped off.
    I love when the goalie covers it then you just go opposite side or 5 hole.
    Record? 3 in a game all at speed faster than most could skate without a puck and yes I paid the price for those beer league indiscretions. Try the roll method on lce. It might work. Trying to flip it up while doing this actually hurts it more than helps.

    I thought I saw someone post about the Michigan "fake-out" goal (that's practically unstoppable by the goalie) recently but have not been able to find the video again that showed someone doing it. Player scoops the puck at speed coming around the back of the net (for example: from left to right) to pull off the Michigan goal, gets the goalie to slide right for the block and then the player stops behind the net and wraps the puck around exposed left side.
    The goalie has no time to stretch back to the left to block the shot once they anticipate the "standard" Michigan goal coming.
    If anyone has/finds the link to this shot, could you please reply with it here? Thanks!
