A most enjoyable video of the Railfest 2012. Some super footage of the locos and stock on display. It was nice to see you include the artists at work as well. A very comprehensive video of the event.
Excellent Kris. What a line-up. Nice to see some of the " rarer " locos too. (Bahamas, Hardwicke, D200, D8000, D6700 etc,.) The Duchess looks superb too. And now that filmings over its time to repaint Olton Hall back into green. Nice one. All the best....Tim.
Thank you so much for a superb video, the best I have seen from this extraordinary arrangement! And what a collection of steam locomotives! In all variants and size. This "Sweet Pea" was a funny curiosety!
I remember going to railfest probably the best rail event I've ever been to :D I've never been so overwhelmed with locomotive in my life :D definitely was a great event thanks for sharing :)
Thanks for posting. I have been to York and the railway museum which was great. Never knew there was a train fest. I will have to go there after going to train fest 2019 in Wisconsin US.
Thank you Allan =) It was a very good event, I only wish I could have filmed more stuff like the Spitfire & Lancaster flypast, but at the time my camcorder was in the bottom of my bag and I had my tripod in one hand and a pork wrap in the other.
Wish they do something like this again i defo come to it but it is such a shame most of theses locos that are running are ether out of ticket or on static display🥺
Thank you Tim =) It was a fantastic line up indeed, I made quite a few engines I'd not seen before =) Hopefully the NRM does overhaul 6229 in the next couple of years. Would be nice to see Olton Hall back in green, although I expect she'll stay red for a bit still, doing Hogwarts Expresses and other promotional things.
Why cant we put just one of these beautiful machines on a regular run. Could you imagine the amount of people clambering to be on one of these locomotives. Sold out in half an hour. Steam ones, i mean.
I see what you mean about the barriers, like where Bahamas and 1744 were, they put barriers in front of another barrier that's already securely in place, where's the logic in that? Still though, it was a great event all in all. Thanks for watching Adam =
My son and I went to railfest. It's great.

Poor loco probably won't run again...

I really wish they would fix Flying Scotsman soon I fell bad looking at her with out any side rods
No wonder people wax lyrics about the steam age. Super.
Only kiddin!! nice shots
Wait wait wait railfest is a thing in the uk too??? I thought it was only an American thing
Omg City of Truro is steaming omg omg omg
What's up with that annoying carnival music, it's at atleast every railway/steam festival
Typically the carnival pipe organs are steam powered in nature, I see them at almost every gala I've been to
Well that waz dead
