Funny how we all have put on extra weight, hairs have greyed or fallen out. But the youthful spirit remains! What a great time! Fun to relive rock and the memories it brings up! Great job boys!
This is lip syncing. Being a musician myself I would say it hurts to sing these high notes but personally I would have the artist rather try than fake it.
Drummer had to really work at slowing down to the click when the vocal started. I think that the drummer wanted to drive it, but the click made him drag behind the tempo.

I remember when this song came out I saw it on American bandstand Saturday morning! I'm 52 now what a great time it was back then growing up in the 80s it was the best time for music. Great job guys!
Guitarist Paul Dean is 76, see them live while you can. Original members except original bass player. Seen them June 11 1982 at Red Rocks. I still remember his awesome bass playing live. Scott Smith February 13, 1955 - November 30, 2000.. Tragic boating accident.

I was at this concert, arrived 2 hours early but due to Blossom Music Center holding everyone in their cars due to storms, and then their inability to process the crowds, most everyone missed seeing Loverboy and much of REO Speedwagon. Nice to see what we missed. Blossom is a mega facility served by insufficient roads

Loverboy was the reason I bought tickets. But some incompetent moron starting the concert before guests could get through line for ticketing, 2nd line through security, and 3rd line for pavilion seating, saw Loverboy as they were exiting the stage! Who was the “manager” in charge of this horrible mis-management and disrespect to paying guests? If you postpone the gate, you postpone the concert. If there is a contract curfew to end at 11pm, then you shorten ALL 3 bands or go until 1:00am if need be. I will never forget what Live Nation did to THOUSANDS of fans! Shame! Get competent management. Loverboy, next time you see this, stand up for your fans and REFUSE to start. I came to see you and was robbed.

I saw loverboy several times in their heyday. From opening act to headliners in arenas. Always a fan. Gotta give it up to reno and any other originals. He sounds pretty damn good. Unfortunately only a few dozen in attendance. Guess the rest of the old LB fans couldn't get their walkers and oxygen bottles into the facility. Rock on!

I have since seen so many now, have lost count. Man, to go back to that first show. Still remember so clearly...

The seats in which this was filmed was very close to the stage which gave the appearance of only a few at the show when in fact they are at a nice size arena and a decent crowd. For LB, I am very happy they are still drawing great crowds but I was just setting for a joke that I think was not well received. I am on old, fat Grey beard who is also an old rock n roller and a LB fan. Thanks fir pointing this out and keep on rocking!

I remember seeing these dudes in Vegas years ago with only 20 people in the place. They got no respect but were probably one of the best shows I've ever seen. Been doing the concert scene about 15 times a year for the last 40 years.

Not here to bash. I really like Loverboy and it's great that they're still rocking. He is singing "most" of this live. But, for instance, at 2:27 when he sings (actually screams) the hardest single part of this song... "FLY MY WAY"... That phrase is dubbed in. Mike Reno cannot hit that note anyone. That's just part of getting older folks. There are videos out there where he does try it, and it's not pretty. So now they sample that part in... And probably some of the other extreme parts during the show. But to Mike's defense, he really is singing here most of the time.

Wow! I’m impressed. They haven’t lost anything in 40 years. My first big arena concert was Journey in 81 or 82. Loverboy was their opening act. They certainly held their own against Journey. I could have listened to either band all night and been completely happy. Those were the days.
I agree his voice is still stuck back in the eighties and that is awesome and most performer's don't even sound the same in concert and I saw guns and roses and axel sounded like shit live but this guy is still killing it
@@spiderman0863 Watch the video again, you will see some spots where his mike is really far away from his mouth and his vocals are at the same level. Especially look at the 3:40 area, he has his mike standing straight up pointing at the ceiling when he yells the word "Got" :-)
Probably showing my age, but YEARS ago, I went to Cedar Point with one of my friends and his parents. We were coming down the steps after riding the Gemini roller coaster, and there were people at the bottom handing something out. They gave all of us free copies of the Loverboy’s first album. Still a great album!
