He's down to earth, Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin, I'm not shocked that he looks different now, we all get older, I loved his matches and interviews during his day, he was fun to watch even though he was a heel and his wife/valet Precious was really hot!

I love gorgeous Jimmy Garvin!! One of my all time favorite heels!!!! Interview leaves you kinda wondering, what the hell is he talking about on some things... kinda in the middle on a lot of subjects... and where’s all that hair gone!!?!??
I have that same Columbia shirt, that alone makes him okay in my book..Lol.. Nah it's more than that, you can tell he's a good guy and hey we'll all get older one day if we're lucky..

Big fan of Gorgeous Jimmy Jam. I Loved Sunshine and Precious was easy to look at, but the thing I respected most about Jimmy? All the time he Finished with the "Brainbuster" I never saw him drop an opponent on their head
In 8th grade we had career day and the teacher said if a career you would like to know about isn't on the list write it down. So I had a few friends and myself write down professional wrestler. When career day came, there I was with about 6 or 7 other people in a classroom with Jimmy Garvin for a few hours. He was great. He told us stories about being on the road and being in Jamaica and Puert Rico and hiding under the ring because the crowds were so hostile and throwing glass bottles at them. He answered all of our questions and I still have his autograph on a piece of notebook paper. I still know one of the guys that was in the class with me and we still talk about it 25 years later.
Notice how Jimmy tries to dance around the Gino Hernandez subject. Guys are still kinda freaked out to touch that situation when you consider the people who may be involved could still be around.
I hope he was asked about the time the Freebirds feuded with the Midnights and Steve Williams bashed Garvin over the head repeatedly with the wooden chair in the Boston Garden
Question. Being that Puerto Rico's a commonwealth of the United states of America and there's no statute of limitations on MURDER can the two bastards responsible for the murder of my childhood hero be brought to justice HERE or in Puerto Rico now ?
I believe since Jimmy moved on from wrestling when he did and had a successful second career allowed him to put some perspective on his career. Always been a great shoot interview. I hope he was lying when he said his shoot with the Dullard "Hannibal" would be his last ever on wrestling.
This is what I'm wondering as well. Look at him in 1992 in his WWF one off. He had a thick head of hair. No bald spots. It's impossible to go from that to completely bald in 30 years. Seems like it was a wig, but how did he wrestle with one on? Very confusing.
He bares no resemblance to the wrestler he once was. These shoot interviews don't really work when they're trying to be too nice. Wrestling is a cold tough business with plenty of ups and downs. Garvin is just a nice guy that doesn't divulge much because he wants to be liked too much.
In 1979, a new pro wrestling publication hit newsstands and magazine racks across the nation. It was Pro Wrestling Illustrated. When the first issue went to press, Jim Garvin was ranked at #10 in the Most Popular Wrestlers category and at #5 in the National Wrestling Alliance.
Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin has turned into Mean Gene Okerlund
King Arthur The 22nd : Oh my goodness
Lmao
Mean James Garvin
So you're saying Mean Gene looked like Jimmy Garvin back in his hay day
LMFFFFFFFFFFFAO
jimmy garvin was my absolute FAVORITE in JCP. Great heel, and likeable face. Him and precious are one of the most underrated duos of all time
Was my best friend ever. Was told leave him alone sadly..greatest freind ever .always love him for helping me..
Great memories with Gorgeous Jimmy in the 80s at World Class. He was one of the first cool heels.

This man had the best intros ever!!!! Wrestling will never have anybody intro like jimmy and precious
Four words come to mind when I hear the name jimmy garvin, "it's not my fault."
Yeah ! Yeah ! Yeah ! YEAH !!!!
I still like when he did ric flair promo with the date with precious. And his hilarious valet for a day with David von Erich.

He lived blocks from me in Tampa back in the early 90's

Underrated comment.
Kevin is the oldest not David
Yep. The actual birth order was Jackie (the brother who died at 5), Kevin, David, Kerry, Mike and Chris.
* Jack Jr.
* Kevin
* David
* Kerry
* Mike
* Chris
Ya David had more ambition and had the personality to be a NWA champ. He mightve ended up in WWF.
@@profshad3429 nah. David was more suited to the NWA. Kerry was the one the WWF wanted. Kerry had the look that Vince always liked.
I first saw Jimmy in Mid-South.
Just a great great wrestler and person
My Favorite wrestler of all time..
Mine too along with Hawk , Animal Rude & Ellering
I liked Garvin.
He looks like Mean Gene Okerlund's little brother now
I remember when he played Bo James in Florida briefly as a heel and he was really good. He played a baby face almost as good!
Wow!!! Didn't recongnize him either!

Probably the Way He Likes It Now, in Some Ways

How in the world did Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin turn out like this?
Its called aging.
Take a pic of yourself now, and then at age 66. That's how it happens.
@Brandi lord he had alot of hair before. I thought it would never fall off. I'm surprised.
Aging dude. Look at Ric Flair now compared to 2002
