😅😅😅 It really depends. I would hope the situations can call for that but it more so depends who can play and if they’re ok with having sets post. Either way I try to have the match ups as even as possible unless the players don’t care about the skill level of themselves and their opponents
Both teams have unblockable setups (firebrand unblockable/x23 lvl 3) and both teams have tony funny enough, also I've never heard more "EXUSE ME" in my life, great set and play from both players 10/10
Ugh. I'm so behind, but I figured I would finally make time to watch DapVip since he's basically the only person who really plays X-23 unfortunately. A bit funny it turned out to be the equally rare occasion where both teams play Iron Man, though that perhaps makes an excellent showcase for Repulsor Blast arguably being overall better than Unibeam as an assist--Smart Bomb need not apply. I rather liked the conversion at 06:42 and X-23 using X-Factor at 10:54 just to get the hell out of dodge even if it felt like a lot of cancels into Talon Attack were eaten by the Internet otherwise. It's also always nice (and funny) for Weapon X Prime to get to demonstrate how stupidly invincible it is as a Level 1 super like at 20:42. Some characters wish their Level 3s were anywhere near as invincible. [Insert picture of Nemesis here.]
I will say I enjoy hearing what you have to say about sets and your thoughts on this game and it's characters, anything marvel. However I will say there's no pressure to catch up on any sets. If you want to just turn on a set and watch, then that's great, that's why I post these. I want people to enjoy marvel. If you find something compelling in the set to share. that's more than welcome. What I'm trying to say is enjoy and just chill. Back to marvel. Dapvip is one of my favorite marvel players so when he obliged to play I was happy to watch and to upload it because he has some of the smoothest play with Dante on point. The way he uses his team is one of the best ways to maximize the potential of a team. He was suffering some drops because the cloud was kind of acting up but you could still see some crazy sick mixups and combos from him and Sothea, so I'm sure people were entertained. They probably cringed at points where there were drops uncharacteristic to these players but that is online marvel unfortunately. Someone who has crazy invincibility is Viewtiful as well as X-23 special. Bionic arm gets more of the recognition for it's invisibility frames but it isn't the best. But the ability to do so much damage is why Spencer gets played so much and another reason why we don't get diverse marvel.
@@bblue1555 Ah. Thanks. I appreciate that you've uploaded the videos since you and Tampa Never Sleeps have made me enjoy _UMvC3_ again after all these years, so I figure trying to watch things in a "timely" manner is the least I can do, at least for the shorter videos, even if I know it's not mandatory. It's more just a personal pet peeve about how easy it is fall behind on things in general. Also, yeah, for someone whose overly gritty remake game tanked super hard, Spencer just ended up blessed in these two games. Able to OTG rather easily from basically anywhere. Has excellent if weird mobility despite lacking a teleport. Benefits the most from a specific character glitch given the fixed damage his grounded QCF+H accidentally does allows him to 100% so may characters. Can set up touch of deaths easily from others whether on point or as an assist. Has stupidly dirty mixups on incoming because of how ambiguous it is what side he's hitting you on. And has the Lv. 1 invincible super that travels the farthest the fastest and is only a single hit, meaning it's one of the best reversal supers in the game. That last part is the funniest--outside of the glitch I guess--since checking the frame data on Bionic Lancer--better known as BIONIC ARM!--reveals it's actually *less* invinicible than I thought it was: only from frames 1-11. It's just that it's basically like Slayer's Dead on Time super in _Guilty Gear_ where if you're doing something within half-screen of him that isn't blocking or something invinicble for longer, you get wrecked, especially since trades are absurdly in Spencer's (and Slayer's) favor unless gets KO'd by them. (V. Joe unfortunately has the exact opposite issue where his extremely stubby limbs mean his half-second of invinicblity on his DP super is up before he even goes like 15% of the screen unfortunately. I still wish they had let his slow super have invinicible start-up given his utter lack of range.)
I think beam is a little better because it’s much more consistent but repulsor really helps FB in a lot of match ups. It eats buster and it eats soul fist and ofc it provides for the unblockable. I prefer unibeam to plasma beam but what can ya do
@@Common-loot24 Yeah, Unibeam is more consistent overall since basically every beam assist in the game is good, and it definitely makes sense on DapVip's team where he already has Jam Session assist for anti-air and Dirtnap unblockables. I guess it's just Repulsor Blast as an assist is something literally only Iron Man can do, and it does hit at such weird angles with such huge range. Anything that blows up Dante's Air Play so easily, among the other things you mentioned, without even having to leave the ground gets a thumbs up in my book. Good showing with your team and the consistentcy on those weird Doom conversions. It's nice to see someone play Firebrand competently even if he can be an annoying piece of shit due to having two *really* stupid moves (even without Luminous Body active).
@@Common-loot24 You were playing Doom plasma blast so I wouldn’t say you need it and the other assist provides you the lockdown you need but if you don’t need that kind of lockdown, the I I ram is so much better in most situations

Firebrand, Viewtiful Joe, TaskMaster, Spider-Man, Trish are a few names along with X-23 that come to mind as decently good characters that are severely under represented in this game. You have a vast majority of the community of this game that plays the Meta and some creative, determined others that stuck it out with their passion characters. There may be a few other’s characters I’m missing but some vie to play the better characters in place of these others that have some advantage and I understand why people play the Meta, I love when people play those other characters.
@@bblue1555 Oh the last part of my comment I meant is there any other character that has such great tools, but is also really lacking at the same time.
@@Chun-believable Maybe Joe. Damage output isn’t great, his attack box is short but triple jump and ability to mash air normals can keep him away from characters and make him hard to catch, his flaming voomerangs keeps players in blockstun, his Mach Speed special has so much invisibility frames, similar to Sentinel’s air special but on ground that allows for combo after and only requires one bar. I can count on my hand how many Viewtiful players I know.
All these comments are nice and all but... DapVip won 8 matches to Sothea's 9, it wasn't a FT10, AND the set ended in the middle of a combo; and NOBODY has said anything about this??? Come on man, I can't be the only one that was actually watching instead of running to the comments to praise the teams. I like what I saw...never heard of Sothea, but still I need some accuracy, and CLOSURE!
I had also messed up on the score when editing which was my mistake. Thanks for pointing that out but the final game and confirm came from a drop on Dapvip and that happened because lag was dropping his combos. I rent servers from AWS and most of the time they're good but they're not perfect and neither is parsec but it's the best we have online. This can happen to both players so for this parsec set, this was the outcome.
There was drops from Dapvip as well. Parsec and/or AWS isn't perfect or offline. Not saying either player didn't drop but it does happen as well along with misinputs and drops.
I don't think it's the character but so much as how you use him. You'll only play hard for characters you truly like. I would also say that there is other characters that do what Iron man does and then some so it's really up to the player if they want to go through the struggle and put in extra work to make up for weaknesses
Yeah he is pretty damn good lol. I’m half trolling but he really does take a lot to play. Really only has 2 maybe 3 teams that are competitive/viable. Having to play doom/skrull or doom/iron man is a big ask when you can just play zero doom vergil 😂
@@Common-loot24 There’s a person who uses firebrand to power up his Frank West and the other character is Trish. He doesn’t care about 300% as much as he wants to power up Frank. Ofc 300% is better but you have to be tight on your execution for the TAC infinite.
