  • How to cook salted egg tofu recipe Filipino style. Salted egg and tofu are Filipino staple food which is available cheap on almost all wet markets "palengke". When removing the yolk from the salted egg or itlog na maalat it is ok that you will get some of the white and mix it in the sauce. Tofu is first fried then we cook the sauce separately then combine then in the end. In The Philippines, this is also called itlog ng itik, or salted duck egg.
    Ingredients:
    5 Pieces Tofu
    5 Pieces Salted Egg
    Garlic Granulated
    Black Pepper
    Salt
    Paprika
    1 Piece Egg
    Cornstarch
    50 grams Butter
    125 ml All Purpose Cream (nestle)
    1 Tablespoon Sugar
    1 Bulb Garlic
    Chili Leaves or Flakes (if you want Spicy)
