  • The chores in Minnesota are about the same as in Louisiana except the weather is different. Melissa's coop runs differently than mine in Minnesota. She has purebreds, I have meat and eggs. Interesting but wonderful. Its so nice to be down here with her again.

      +Lori cook I am going to add on to the cages down here in the next few days. She has over a hundred eggs in the incubators and quite a few chicks in the brooders. Chick buying season has begun down here so she is selling quite a few but still needs more room. Thanks Lori.

    Was wondering when you would be posting some more videos. Even though I haven't watched all your videos on this page or the JoeandZack channel I am always looking on my list to see if you have uploaded anything new. Have a good time down there Joe. Always good to get away from home for a little while.

    Man, your videos are very good and cool, I like watching it every day. One question for you, isn't it cold for birds when winter comes, especially for quails, do they laying eggs in that period?

      +Shawn Andera Even if I turn my scope alllllll the way to 12 power I cant see the end of it. LOL. Its not that bad. Lots of stuff I want to get done and a few things she needs me to get done. You know me, I dont sit still very long and winter up in MN makes me have to sit still more than I am comfortable with. It will be a fun time down here. Thanks Shawn. Joe

    Nice Transition! How'd the boat tow down for you? This video makes me excited to get chickens again this spring

    • @NorthernSeclusion
      @NorthernSeclusion  8 років тому +1

      +Colin Keevil I was very very nervous about the boat tow. Possible boat trailer trouble, possible truck trouble because that truck has alot of miles on it now (I may get a different one next year) It pulled very nice. I averaged 10.29 miles per gallon and I always kept the over drive turned off so that wasnt bad. The trailer hubs never got hot. Even the boat cover survived which surprised me. For how much anxiety I was feeling before I left, it did well. Thanks Colin. Joe

    Hey Joe, at 2:23, what is the breed of that rooster? He looks like my rooster and I never knew what his breed was.

    • @NorthernSeclusion
      @NorthernSeclusion  8 років тому

      +MotherOfManyHorses Melissa just stopped home for a second on her daily work trek and I asked her. Those roosters in that cage are Welsummers. She has a rooster in another cage that is just a half high right now but when I go home he will be my new rooster up in Minnesota. That one is a Jersey Giant.

      +Christine Strauss I brought Max down with me with the thought that he would not be making the return trip. He is very old and well, just very old. He seems to be doing better since he is down here but we shall see.
