    Thanks for posting, just had to change mine and this was informative. i probably would've broken the lock tabs otherwise. 😅

    Like the switch design, just plopped into a hole with tabs to stop it escaping, but dash panals are a nusance.
    The multipurpose panal remover and crowbar wins first prize lol :-))
    You may want to make another, just incase you lose that one, just too bloody handy mr richpin :-)

    Unusual that both multi-function switches should fail at same time. Any reason behind this dual failure? Nice video!

    My problem: Had to hold my signal switch for the left turn signal and headlights not working properly..the left would only work on low beam and the right would only work on high beam, but they both would work on high beam if I held handle in place, but both would not work on lowbeam....and my bells no longer rang.....Thank you for this video, I was able to successfully change out my multifunction switch which cured the signal light problem and the bell issue, but not the headlight issue...its a mystery to me. But had to give my self a little pat on the back as I am a 55 yr old widow...who NEVER worked on a car before, thanks to you I am feeling empowered and super glad I did not give the guy at the dealership 400 plus dollars to change the 45 dollar switch:) Any ideal on the headlights?

    My 2010 is the second Cobalt I've owned, had to change the turn signal/headlight switch on both of them. Seems like an issue with these types of vehicles. So much plastic, I'm always afraid I'll break something and sometimes do, keep the superglue handy!

    I gave a 2005. My directional return doesn't return to neutral. The headlights stopped working but I have all other lights and dash lights. Is this the problem?

    I have a Suzuki Forenza 2008
    head lamps are On with the ignition off. this causes the battery to get uncharged (dead).
    I replace the turn signal multifunction lever for a new one and the problem keeps the same.
    I also check the instrument panel fuse block and engine compartment fuse block.
    and they are okay.
    I don't know what else can I look for in order to fix this problem. can you please help me

    how to fix mute signal Cobalt?

    • @ms9252a
      @ms9252a 5 років тому

      That would be the front drivers side door speakers. When turn signal is activated the click sound comes out of the front driver side door speaker. Had the same problem just replaced speakers (driver and passenger) problem solved.

      Manuals always state to remove the cable when dealing with electrics.

    Too bad you dont have a key to test the ignition switch.

    • @RichpinTv
      @RichpinTv  10 років тому

      I heard that it was only a problem if you load up on your key chain.
