HOME OWNER BEWARE \\ Do you really need LIME applications? // DONT PAY FOR WHAT YOU DONT NEED

For years I have heard professionals say... "all lawns in this area need lime applications". Landscapers, maintenance companies, turf managers, even licensed applicators (who should really know better) have all said it. Seeding, throw down lime. Fall or spring.. yep, you better get down some lime. The truth is, your lawns soil system can be vastly different from the one on the other side of the street or driveway. I always wondered, how do these guys know if a lawn needs lime or not if they haven't done a soil test. The TRUTH is..... THEY DON'T KNOW.
Now, I'm not here to cause trouble or stir up shit for some clicks. I'm just hoping that by the end of this video you come away armed with a few truths.
1) Anyone that attempts to sell you a lime application without showing you a soil test is at a best guessing what your soil needs or worse, intentionally upselling something they know you don't need for profit. DISHONEST, UNETHICAL...and other words I wont say on an open platform.
2) If you have confirmed that your lawn does indeed have a pH that is slightly high or low but otherwise looks good...DON'T SWEAT IT! I see to many people show photos of great looking, weed free, lush, green lawns but are upset because their pH or some obscure micronutrient like Boron is not at a level some Ph.D on UA-cam said it should be.
3) There is absolutely a legitimate time for using lime to increase the pH of a soil. Not everyone is trying to sell you something. Again, just make sure its warranted.
