    Lydia has a great eye for finding the petrified wood and agates! Maybe the future face of the Agate Angler channel!? Many years from now though!! She's grown quite a bit since I started watching your channel!

    I just love seeing that Lydia is so smart and such a good rockhounder. I can't believe she is already so big. Seems like she was only born a couple of years ago. Time flies for sure. You are making some amazing memories with her. Really awesome finds.

    I agree with the sentiment that Lydia is an amazingly skilled and knowledgeable rockhounding daughter already. As a retired pediatrician , I especially appreciate your tender encouragements and awesome parenting skills that are evident. Great job!

    Head over to Columbus. Walk along the railroad tracks, towards the hill, going towards the right, once you come into downtown. You will be suprised. Grew up there. Great video. Spent my childhood on the Yellowstone, fishing and agate collecting.

    I love to see Kip, but it is very Dad of you to be teaching your daughter the facts of rock life. There are no such birds as Sea Gulls, most likely Ring-billed Gulls or one of 5/6 other species native to your area. That is a great pump sprayer you are using, never understood why people would use the small ones.

    That big one is real nice! Great finds. I think the rock you did not remember the name of might be a type of porphyry.

    Good times right there, that big one was the size of a grapefruit, eh! Have you ever been to Moose Lake, MN ya gotta sneak into a gravel pit on the weekends! Anywhere in that area is great for finding Agates, nice banded ones!

    • @AgateAngler
      @AgateAngler  2 місяці тому

      Yes, good times indeed! I really want to head out to MN sometime, but we probably have to wait for the kiddos to get a bit older. Thanks for watching.

    Are you sure the rock from the main picture is an agate? Agates are a type of chalcedony, which's main difference from other quartz types is that it has no visible cristaline structure.

    • @AgateAngler
      @AgateAngler  28 днів тому

      Very sure. You can see the visible fortifications
