ok, so pro tip: before visiting the campsite make sure your pockets are full, that way the villager will understand that you can’t play the game where u win an item and the only games that you’ll play will be the move in ones :D
I’ve found that with the campsite people if you just keep pestering them they will talk to you about moving. (If you haven’t already failed the move game) In other words, think like a toddler. Keep bugging them !
I failed the mini game and still got one to move in don't know if it was a glitch but after I failed I did leave the tent and then came back later to try again and got them to move in

I went on a brave villager hunting with only 10 NMT. I was hoping to find Raymond or Dobie, but on my 6th island, I met Sherb and fell in love with him. Took him home & he's the one I didn't know I needed.
My dreamie is Sherb. It's a bit Basic, yes, but New Horizons was my first Animal Crossing game and Sherb was the villager I found on my first NMT island and he's just so adorable!
I got lucky and managed to get Pierto and Goldie. Pierto I found on a deserted island tour, and Goldie at the campsite! I still hope I can get either Ankha or Zucker on my island!

I had ankha auto fill on my island. Shes cute but i dont feel comfy having a villager on my island that's lewded all the time and she doesnt even fit my theme that well anyways. I replaced her with willow
When I tried to move a villager in, they told me this island was full so they couldn't move in and they left, no villager has ever asked to move another villager out
Oh my god, thank you for this video. Marshal (smug) is at my campsite and since launch I have not had a smug villager! It took a few tries of the card game, but he chose Midge (my newest and least friend-ed villager) straight away! No resetting 😍 I do love midge but she’s the third normal villager I have on my island with Goldie and Gala. It’s too much baked ziti.

I got stitches (one of my last dreamies) as one of my first campsite villagers and I didn’t get him to move in and HEARING that he won’t come back until I go thru all other villagers SHATTERED my heart 🥲
I remember my second Campsite visit and will never forget it. Isabelle said there was a villager, and I just said "Ok. Let's see who it is." I was expecting a villager I barely knew, let alone one of my favorites. But then I entered, and it was Phoebe, who is my favorite Sisterly villager, and my 5th favorite villager of all time. Also it took flippin' forever to move her in. But I did, and I regret NOTHING. Seriously. I spent almost an hour leaving and re-entering the tent trying to convince her to move in.
Another option, if your dreamy is either a Jock or a Sisterly type, is to continuously restart your island until you get the one you want, since those two personalities are set in stone for your first villagers.
I have her amiibo.. she was on my island for a bit but I gave her to a friend.. who in return sent a hideous creature by the name of Biskit my way.. 😭 I got rid of him though and replaced him with Marshal. 🤣
Cookie is my number 1 favorite villager, and one morning when I had a camper I jokingly told myself she came to visit. To my shock, she actually did lol.
I spent hours trying to get Blanche to move to my island from the campsite, she always said that she had to do laundry and couldn't move. At last she moved in a took Anchovy's spot, now I want her to leave because I didn't even like her that much and I'm still mad that it took me so long to get her

This was EXTREMELY helpful. I literally got Apollo at my campsite and it said that Judy wanted to leave. I was so upset I turned off my game and searched for videos to help. That’s when I found this!! I was able to move out someone else and Apollo is now a new member of my animal crossing familyyyy!!!
Pekoe showed up in my campsite today and I ran back here to watch this again to make sure I didn’t mess it up. When she picked my newest villager, I quit and tried again but couldn’t get her to bite. So I left and immediately ran into a villager who wanted to move out (whom I didn’t mind losing). Went back to the tent and kept at it a while longer and she finally bit and once she checked with Tom Nook, she picked the one who wanted to move out. Whew! when i first started playing, my first two dreamies were maple and raymond. when i got items for three villager’s houses, maple’s was the third villager from those houses. and just today, my campsite opened and raymond was in there.
I’m a little curious about this villager move in queue and the “void” I hear so much about, but so glad you got Merry! I tuned in a couple of times but I have to admit I have a compulsive need to shake the nook mile island trees for furniture, so I don’t think I could ever do 1000 islands. It would just take too long!
I can tell you that I let the queue move someone it and it was Phil who left my other island like 2 months ago. So he was queued up for quite some time
They would be well served altering how the campsite works. Instead of coaxing villagers to move in through repeated hounding and simple games of chance, they could perhaps have multiple choice mini games to play with them. Perhaps one for each personality type, like a tour of the island or museum, a shopping trip to the abel sister's, or some fishing or diving. The correct choice resulting in a better "bonding" result, inspiring them to ask to move in. Plus if they altered it you'd have one more Animal Crossing video to occupy your time for a couple of days.

I've been trying to collect wolf villagers, but I'm not exactly busting my ass to do it as I'm attached enough to most of my non-wolf villagers that I don't really force it. Next time one comes and camps though I'll be letting them replace a villager in a way that won't lose me a personality type (or either of my original two, Moose and Mira. I don't care if Moose is bottom tier, he's been on my island from the start and is always the one to come drag me out the house on my birthday.)

The campsite is definitely a mixed bag for me. The first campsite villager for me (which the game doesn't let you wait for another villager) was... hippaux. But recently I got mega luck, Raymond came to my campsite while Olive, a villager I didn't really care about, was packing up. I got Raymond (I wanted him because he's a smug cat, not really any other reasons except he looks cool). Boy am I happy. Also yes I used a Bob amiibo card to get hippaux out months ago.
I remember on my old acnh island, Gayle was my dreamie. I went through 286 nook miles tickets to find her. 286! Guess what? Next day I had a campsite villager, and that villager just so happened to be Gayle.
One time I got Stitches to be at my campsite, but during that time I had a limit of 10 Villagers in my island. But then I offered Stitches to move to my island (by playing “Red or Black” and I won, but he went to talk to Nook, and Stitches said that, Nook mentioned (Henry the frog to move out) and it was sad to declined the offer…
For a second I forgot this series was called “for dummies” and I thought you meant you were searching for Stiches (a dummy). He’s my fave so it’s not rude. I also have mega dummy Zucker who I also love even tho they are essentially coded the same. I cannot choose between my children okay.

I’ve had a campsite for a while (idk how long, I’ve played for 100 hrs as a reference) and the only person who’s been in the campsite was the first one that you have to invite (I was lucky and got Eugene). I don’t have amiibos and I’ve had an open plot available (both times it was filled randomly), and I also don’t have a moving-cue because I have no friends :D
Recently, I was time travelling just for the things I ordered to be mailed to me and I had a campsite villager. I had no smug villagers and I really wanted Raymond bc hes just super cool and I thought he'd go swell with Lolly (who I had and still have incase anyone wanted to know).Well you see where this is going. HE WAS THE CAMPSITE VILLAGER! I was so excited and on top of that, on the first try he kicked out the person I wanted out!!

If you have a villager amiibo, but you want to add a new one at the campsite that’s taking too long to pick a particular villager you want to move out, you should be able to send back the villager you have an amiibo for to your island, right? That way you can get that new villager to live on your island, but the amiibo villager can return easily and let you pick the one you don’t want on your island anymore.
I followed these tricks and guess what? On my first ever campsite villager, I got Raymond AND he wanted to move in the first time I talked to him!!!!! :D
Great video! I do have a question though: if your friend has a villager in boxes, but you don't have an empty house plot on the same day, then if you talk to that villager, are they added to your move-in queue? It seems like there would be a very low chance of a housing plot staying vacant for more than a day before Nook moves someone random in, so it'd be hard to get the timing right.
That's a very good question. I'm not exactly sure how the move in queue works. The move in queue could populate from the villagers who have already moved out of your friend's island and in your friend's "void" waiting for someone to visit. I'm thinking if you visit your friend after that villager fully moves out, it has the chance to be added. But I really have no idea how it works lol. That's just based off my experience
So far, I’ve been pretty lucky with campsite villagers. In the past I’ve gotten Apollo,and Judy(she’s already moved in lol) just to name a few. I’ve never seen anyone get that lucky with campsite villagers. I was so happy when I saw Judy, considering she was one of my dream villagers lol
my sister got merengue as her 3d villager, then Julian, Judy, and Roald. With 2 from the campsite and 2 from the mystery islands. (She only used 20 tickets)
You said that if certain villager visits your campsite once they won’t appear again until other villagers have visited before? Weird, I’ve got Diana visiting my island for the first time on November of last year, I couldn’t invite her then because I didn’t had the space. But she visited my campsite for the second time on January of this year, so… Diana was definitely meant to be living on my island in the first place. She looks very pretty, because my island is all pastel colors themed. 🌈✨

Honestly campsite hunting sounds most effective. The fact you cycle through and they don't show up again til all characters are seen give an actual progression towards going towards that 1 dreamy. Better then island hopping by far

bruh there was one time I was grabbing rosie from a guy on discord for my sister cuz I had an open plot and didn't want it to be filled with someone I didn't want. we hadn't finalized anything, we were still discussing payment and other things while I was loading up my game. Isabelle told me I had a campsite visitor so I went to check it, thinking "lmao it'd be funny if it's rosie in my campsite while I'm trynna get her from this dude". it was rosie. My sister and I screamed lol. I cancelled with the dude and it actually turned out pretty well cuz someone else gave a much higher offer for her while I was loading up lol.
I had Raymond in my campsite today. I played a game to get him to move in, but I lost. I kept talking to him though, and he moved in! (I’ve been hunting for him for months)
A villager can't appear twice on the campsite? lol I'm glad I didn't look for Bluebear there then because she showed up early in my game but I was camp-hunting another villager and I was going to do the same with her but decided not to because it's a quite annoying way to get a villager
my absolute favorite used to be cherry, but after working by a$$ off to make her stupid shell partition and finally have her move in, all she ever did was get in fights with other villagers and i grew to lowkey hate her. weirdly enough now my 2 all time favorites are my starting villagers Axel and Canbera. I've talked with them literally every single day since the game came out and i love them to death

So.. one time I was kind of going to villager hunting but not really because I don’t have enough Nook mile tickets and I wasn’t even looking for Raymond AND I GOT HIM ON THE SECOND TICKET. Same with Zucker I feel so lucky

This was EXTREMELY helpful. I literally got Apollo at my campsite and it said that Judy wanted to leave. I was so upset I turned off my game and searched for videos to help. That’s when I found this!! I was able to move out someone else and Apollo is now a new member of my animal crossing familyyyy!!!
Pekoe showed up in my campsite today and I ran back here to watch this again to make sure I didn’t mess it up. When she picked my newest villager, I quit and tried again but couldn’t get her to bite. So I left and immediately ran into a villager who wanted to move out (whom I didn’t mind losing). Went back to the tent and kept at it a while longer and she finally bit and once she checked with Tom Nook, she picked the one who wanted to move out. Whew! Thanks for your fantastic tips and thorough vids!

when i first started playing, my first two dreamies were maple and raymond. when i got items for three villager’s houses, maple’s was the third villager from those houses. and just today, my campsite opened and raymond was in there.

I’m a little curious about this villager move in queue and the “void” I hear so much about, but so glad you got Merry! I tuned in a couple of times but I have to admit I have a compulsive need to shake the nook mile island trees for furniture, so I don’t think I could ever do 1000 islands. It would just take too long!
I can tell you that I let the queue move someone it and it was Phil who left my other island like 2 months ago. So he was queued up for quite some time

I was overjoyed when I saw Raymond in my campsite. I legit couldn't believe it. And then, later on, he gave me a recipe for a golden coffin.
Sooo... *sigh* Yesterday, I walked into my campsite. And it was Raymond. He refused to move in right away. I've never felt so frustrated!
They would be well served altering how the campsite works. Instead of coaxing villagers to move in through repeated hounding and simple games of chance, they could perhaps have multiple choice mini games to play with them.
Perhaps one for each personality type, like a tour of the island or museum, a shopping trip to the abel sister's, or some fishing or diving.
The correct choice resulting in a better "bonding" result, inspiring them to ask to move in.
Plus if they altered it you'd have one more Animal Crossing video to occupy your time for a couple of days.

I've found going to mystery islands are the best way personally. I got Marshal, Marina, Raymond, and Octavian with relative ease.
I've been trying to collect wolf villagers, but I'm not exactly busting my ass to do it as I'm attached enough to most of my non-wolf villagers that I don't really force it.
Next time one comes and camps though I'll be letting them replace a villager in a way that won't lose me a personality type (or either of my original two, Moose and Mira. I don't care if Moose is bottom tier, he's been on my island from the start and is always the one to come drag me out the house on my birthday.)

The campsite is definitely a mixed bag for me.
The first campsite villager for me (which the game doesn't let you wait for another villager) was... hippaux.
But recently I got mega luck, Raymond came to my campsite while Olive, a villager I didn't really care about, was packing up.
I got Raymond (I wanted him because he's a smug cat, not really any other reasons except he looks cool). Boy am I happy. Also yes I used a Bob amiibo card to get hippaux out months ago.

I remember on my old acnh island, Gayle was my dreamie. I went through 286 nook miles tickets to find her. 286! Guess what? Next day I had a campsite villager, and that villager just so happened to be Gayle.
One time I got Stitches to be at my campsite, but during that time I had a limit of 10 Villagers in my island. But then I offered Stitches to move to my island (by playing “Red or Black” and I won, but he went to talk to Nook, and Stitches said that, Nook mentioned (Henry the frog to move out) and it was sad to declined the offer…
For a second I forgot this series was called “for dummies” and I thought you meant you were searching for Stiches (a dummy). He’s my fave so it’s not rude. I also have mega dummy Zucker who I also love even tho they are essentially coded the same. I cannot choose between my children okay.

I’ve had a campsite for a while (idk how long, I’ve played for 100 hrs as a reference) and the only person who’s been in the campsite was the first one that you have to invite (I was lucky and got Eugene). I don’t have amiibos and I’ve had an open plot available (both times it was filled randomly), and I also don’t have a moving-cue because I have no friends :D
Recently, I was time travelling just for the things I ordered to be mailed to me and I had a campsite villager. I had no smug villagers and I really wanted Raymond bc hes just super cool and I thought he'd go swell with Lolly (who I had and still have incase anyone wanted to know).Well you see where this is going. HE WAS THE CAMPSITE VILLAGER! I was so excited and on top of that, on the first try he kicked out the person I wanted out!!

If you have a villager amiibo, but you want to add a new one at the campsite that’s taking too long to pick a particular villager you want to move out, you should be able to send back the villager you have an amiibo for to your island, right? That way you can get that new villager to live on your island, but the amiibo villager can return easily and let you pick the one you don’t want on your island anymore.
I followed these tricks and guess what? On my first ever campsite villager, I got Raymond AND he wanted to move in the first time I talked to him!!!!! :D

Great video! I do have a question though: if your friend has a villager in boxes, but you don't have an empty house plot on the same day, then if you talk to that villager, are they added to your move-in queue? It seems like there would be a very low chance of a housing plot staying vacant for more than a day before Nook moves someone random in, so it'd be hard to get the timing right.
That's a very good question. I'm not exactly sure how the move in queue works. The move in queue could populate from the villagers who have already moved out of your friend's island and in your friend's "void" waiting for someone to visit. I'm thinking if you visit your friend after that villager fully moves out, it has the chance to be added. But I really have no idea how it works lol. That's just based off my experience
So far, I’ve been pretty lucky with campsite villagers. In the past I’ve gotten Apollo,and Judy(she’s already moved in lol) just to name a few. I’ve never seen anyone get that lucky with campsite villagers. I was so happy when I saw Judy, considering she was one of my dream villagers lol

You said that if certain villager visits your campsite once they won’t appear again until other villagers have visited before? Weird, I’ve got Diana visiting my island for the first time on November of last year, I couldn’t invite her then because I didn’t had the space. But she visited my campsite for the second time on January of this year, so… Diana was definitely meant to be living on my island in the first place. She looks very pretty, because my island is all pastel colors themed. 🌈✨

Honestly campsite hunting sounds most effective. The fact you cycle through and they don't show up again til all characters are seen give an actual progression towards going towards that 1 dreamy. Better then island hopping by far
I’m pretty lucky in the fact that one of my dreamies, Merry, moved in when you build the 3 houses and I have the amino cards of some of my dreamies, I guess I only need to go hunting maybe once or twice!
On my second island I got Marshal as my first ever campsite villager. I also found Dom on my third ticket. I don't know why I reset it.
Raymond isn’t my dreamie but I really like him and one day I just check my campsite and see him there.

bruh there was one time I was grabbing rosie from a guy on discord for my sister cuz I had an open plot and didn't want it to be filled with someone I didn't want. we hadn't finalized anything, we were still discussing payment and other things while I was loading up my game. Isabelle told me I had a campsite visitor so I went to check it, thinking "lmao it'd be funny if it's rosie in my campsite while I'm trynna get her from this dude". it was rosie. My sister and I screamed lol. I cancelled with the dude and it actually turned out pretty well cuz someone else gave a much higher offer for her while I was loading up lol.
I had Raymond in my campsite today. I played a game to get him to move in, but I lost. I kept talking to him though, and he moved in! (I’ve been hunting for him for months)

A villager can't appear twice on the campsite? lol I'm glad I didn't look for Bluebear there then because she showed up early in my game but I was camp-hunting another villager and I was going to do the same with her but decided not to because it's a quite annoying way to get a villager
my absolute favorite used to be cherry, but after working by a$$ off to make her stupid shell partition and finally have her move in, all she ever did was get in fights with other villagers and i grew to lowkey hate her. weirdly enough now my 2 all time favorites are my starting villagers Axel and Canbera. I've talked with them literally every single day since the game came out and i love them to death
