The loose watercoloring is really, really pretty, Therese and I was surprised how restamping them at the end brought the design together so well. I love bling, but for the holidays I lean more towards sparkle for mailing purposes. But yours looked fabulous! Thanks for another inspiring video!
Thank you so much Stef! The restamping is key and I often do this for any images that I have coloured, it's amazing what a difference it can make. And YAY for the sparkle, I agree, it fabulous lol!!
You never can start too early, I do not like the big rush at the end lol. ps these ideas would also work well for many other 'occasions' cards as well. Thanks for your lovely visit here today Kim-Maree!
I love my bling... these watercolor cards and tags are so pretty. I don't do much watercoloring, but you may have inspired me to give this technique a try. Merry Christmas 🌲
I know right, from where they start to the finished project is so different! I used to 'give up' half way through a watercolor project, but now I know better... sometimes lol. Thanks so much Kim!
Thank you Sue! If you have dye inks you can use those instead. Just smoosh them onto a plate add a little bit of water and you can paint with them like watercolours (Distress inks are the best for this, but I have also used Altenew, Catherine Pooler, any really). But, you will need some watercolour paper and a brush. Hope you have fun.
Fabulous video, cards and tips, I’m starting to get into water colouring and found it a bit daunting. ..I love all your tips which are so doable and I’ll look forward to incorporating them int next years cards I make for Dubbo nursing homes....Many thanks and Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you so much Elizabeth! I agree, initially I found watercolouring daunting, but then realized it's art and card making, it doesn't have to be perfect or difficult, we really are just doing it for fun after all. And of course you are amazing, because you are also creating for others, who I know will really appreciate it!
All are lovely……I’m a natural greens and berries person for Christmas and all the wreaths and seasonal florals really are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing, and a very Merry Christmas to you, Therese! 💌
Love your multiple series, so inspiring and encouraging to those of us who take blocks of time, and MUST tidy our spaces between sessions. I've re-watched back to 2015 this season, would recommend to anyone
I really want to be able to do perfect watercolor but I don't want to take the time to really learn how. This looks amazing and it looks like a great way to get a watercolor without the fussing. I love the look of all of these.
I love your same but different videos. I think even I could manage one or two of these techniques and I am a bit scared of watercolouring! 😄 Your cards are gorgeous, thanks Therese and Happy Christmas 🎅🤶🎄🎄(from Kiama!😉😆)
Hi Fiona, a BIG Welcome to you!! Yes, I'm a fellow Aussie who lives in Northern NSW... not sure if you live nearby but we occasionally have a get together... well, pre-pandemic we did so maybe it may be able to happen again this year!
Wow I love the watercolor cards. Did I see you stamp on the plastic first then transfer to the card? What is that gadget called...the hard plastic large square ?
I think it's linked in the products below, but it was probably the Taylored Expressions Misti Alignment tool. But you can certainly use any piece of packaging or plastic (acetate) you have on hand. Simply lay it over the top of the image you are stamping on to. And line up your sentiment / image as usual, then stamp it down on the acetate first to see if the position is correct / sentiment is straight. It works a treat! Hope this helps, thanks so much for your lovely visit here today Trish!
They are all beautiful, but the holly is my favorite.
The 'Mondo' series from Ellen Hutson is divine and this Holly is a beautiful stamp!
