There is the South American challenge it’s a 14 day stage race starting in Brazil and ending on the coast of Columbia ( the pacific coast. And there is a nasty trail in Brazil. It drops down 10 feet straight down and due to the thickness of the tree you have to come into that drop absolutely on the perfect line or you will crash into the tree ( did I mention it after a .5 kilometer decent with a 29% grade? And right after the tree there is an insanely sharp right followed by a triple switchback?)
I usually don't comment but sid you cracked me up on this. Hearing you swear and really show how you felt during some of that was so real and authentic. Loved it!
ye, I really like Macky is always so calm, but when sht gets real, Syd is swearing :) That's the only XC channel I watch, and also like how she handles lots of stuff everybody else walks through.
I don’t know what it is, but there is something about this race that is really showcasing, Syd’s talent, skill, strength, power, and recovered fitness. You just blow me away. I also love getting a Joe and Lo recap at the end of each episode. Definitely rooting for all four of you.
@syd I want you to know that your videos are like twice as clear as any other YT mountain bikers. Would love to see you be stoked on the footage you have and not worry about some water/fogging etc. Your voices, narration, and story telling are 10x any other UA-camrs. Keep being awesome!
I am so impressed with both of you!! Just killing it! Syd this must feel like vindication for the injury! All your hard work is paying off. Wishing you continued success in the coming days.
Another great video. Thanks for recording these races and showing them. The editing is brilliant and the fact your prepared to wear a chest strap cam so we can all come along is awesome. Looking forward the next stage.🎉
I just love this race... this is required viewing for my kiddos as they begin the middle / high school xc race season. So good for them to see the challenges of the race, trail etiquette, riders supporting riders and the real emotions you feel as you push yourself that hard.
This series has been so cool! Listening to you guys speaking Spanish is great. It is actually good. Watching you guys inspires to go on epic rides. Thanks a bunch for sharing.
So great to see you guys destroying it! Joe and Lo too! I love hearing you guys talk to yourselves while you race! Words of encouragement and affirmation. Plus, all of Syd’s F-bombs! 😂
I love listening to Syd's conversations to herself. I have the same conversations, as much as I love riding there are time when I ask myself what the hell are you doing. This is great content keep it up!
Brilliant content and fantastic editing. Syd you're so fast up and and down (3rd person footage proves this so well), you must be pleased with how well you have come back from your injury. Loving your Spanish too.
You guys are great - incredibly respect worthy. And, I'm reminded of how much I like riding the rail trail (not to steep up or down). Wow! I'm impressed.
Just found your channel and really enjoying the Trans Andes vids.. Me encanta que habléís en español a veces!. Vivo en España pero mi español es muy malo...tus videos realmente están ayudando ! 👍
Took my mind a solid sec to accept that, yes, those are people just chillin on the top of the bridge there at 14:00. The bridge suddenly speaking sealed the deal for me. Followed up by Macky communing with the non-receptive sheep 😂. Never a dull moment
Wow- handing another participant your multi tool. That’s racing on faith- faith that if you need it, someone else will come through for you!❤️ inspiration to keep racing in perspective. Helping others do their best in a race- that’s some big time human stuff. Thanks for this real window into racing that shows even the emotional frustration and fatigue after winning. Love you guys!
What a stage! 😂 that ending, while very unfortunate for syd, cracked me up. You could feel the frustration through the video. Awesome job guys! Can't wait for the next stages
Solid solid stuff - great storytelling you two, and I thoroughly enjoy the during race commentary, I remember carrying on a conversation in my head during races, it feels very similar to the ones Syd was having!
I feel for Syd's bridge experience. New Zealand bike/hike tracks used a lot of those wiggly suspension bridges. I learned to not get on the bridge on a bicycle until the previous rider was near the end. Otherwise my experience was like Syd's: the bike was going to end up sideways or a handlebar end stuck in the guard rain. Strangely, when walking across the wiggles were fine.
I was wondering about Federico....it was sad he had that mishap but it was good for Macky..Im glad he has a healthy lead....man this race looks ROUGH....the scenery is AWESOME!!
I'm not exactly sure what it is, but this is your best content so far; I'm just riveted and can't wait for each new episode. Somehow, watching you guys do this epic race, is making my 35 mile rides seem like a walk in the park. Thanks soooo much for keeping me on the edge of my seat.
You Two are such amazing riders! I am always in awe of Mackeys skill then I watch with gaped mouth as Syd passes so many people on the descents! Snickers is the got to snack!
Thank you, Syd and Macky! Thanks for your videos. And thanks for all your effort, in spite of being "dead tired" from this stage race, and still taking the hours and hours of editing and sharing this stage race experience.
Love me some stage racing! 3 days is my longest and I was very glad the morning of the fourth day that I didn't have to race. You guys are killing it, congrats on the top spots!!
Soooo I get to the part where Macky is done, and Syd is still at it, and she crashes and I was like oh no no no no no big rock or stump and thud, and she says the one thing I say all the time when I crash. "I'm an idiot" Having a great time watching these videos.
You know y'all have probably peaked the interest of every, let's see if you can top this, minded racer out there, with this race series. I bet some are even already planning the trip to be there for next year. Loved this edit too.
Absolutely outstanding riding! Seeing the racers/competitors camaraderie and support for each other, is just next level as well! Sid, when are we going to see your line of "Syd's Concentrated Potato/Gummi Bear/Snickers/Cantaloupe All-in-one Racing Gel Cube Chews" 👍‼ Keep doing what you do 😁👍‼
Oh, that looked so hard. Evidently you found your head unit in the end? I always use a lanyard to save the embarrassment/ cost of losing it. Great work
I'm not sure if I used your link from a previous video, I know I tried to, but I bought a set of shokz a few months ago and finally got to use them on my bike last weekend. They worked so well! So much better/safer for riding than wireless earbuds. And as you mentioned, the big button is really easy to hit even with gloves on. All in all, I completely recommend them.
Otra etapa increíble. Ésta etapa reina fue brutal. Es que más de sesenta millas y diez mil pies to escalada hace un día agotador. Acabasteis muy bien. 👍
Shokz headphones can’t be as good as Syd and Macky goes on about. That at least was what I thought until I got the opportunity to test them. Never going back to my Jaba Elite and I love my Jabra Elite.

You’re so relatable Syd, thank you for sharing. Congrats to you both

This is my favorite cycling content of 2023 by anyone!
I agree!
By far!!!

And I wanna unlock a snickers bar

@@kathybigs7820 climb 8000 feet and it will be yours! 😂

Yes!
Syd double fishing those potatoes leaving the aid station had me cracking up. Classic Syd 🎉
Thanks!
Thank you!

Love Syds “ congratulations you have just unlocked a snickers bar” comment. Great to have humor while in the pain cave
Another great video. Thanks for recording these races and showing them. The editing is brilliant and the fact your prepared to wear a chest strap cam so we can all come along is awesome. Looking forward the next stage.🎉

Bravo zulu both of you. A huge inspiration and also huge respect to you that you are willing to share the non-glamorous parts.
It's funny to see the different perspectives. Macky: "this looks awesome" Syd: "Fx$%ing trees"🤣 Well done to you both, that looked brutal!
So great to see you guys destroying it! Joe and Lo too! I love hearing you guys talk to yourselves while you race! Words of encouragement and affirmation. Plus, all of Syd’s F-bombs! 😂
Your training sure pay off !
Well Done on the 3rd consecutive win and on the Queen’s stage no less!!!
I love listening to Syd's conversations to herself. I have the same conversations, as much as I love riding there are time when I ask myself what the hell are you doing. This is great content keep it up!
frankly this is the best cycling content on internet! always eagerly waiting for you're next race/stage. all the best.
That was one hell of a race. Much respect for all four of you. Best of luck in tomorrow's stage. Big cheers from all of us in Knoxville Tennessee. 👍👊
Brilliant content and fantastic editing. Syd you're so fast up and and down (3rd person footage proves this so well), you must be pleased with how well you have come back from your injury. Loving your Spanish too.

Thanks again Syd for having no filter and saying whatever comes to mind. Your my spirit animal.
Took my mind a solid sec to accept that, yes, those are people just chillin on the top of the bridge there at 14:00. The bridge suddenly speaking sealed the deal for me.
Followed up by Macky communing with the non-receptive sheep 😂. Never a dull moment
i have never enjoyed anyones mountain bike content as much as you guys Trans Anges.... thank you so much. keep it up.
GREAT job everyone!! Thanks for sharing!
First place again, wahoo!!! You guys are killin' it. Poor Frederico.
Oh, man... your perseverance and technical skills would fit right in at the Marji Gesick. I’d love to see you guys chase that buckle.
This has been very interesting. Thanks for sharing this with us.
You guys rock. Tough day but you both are the toughest
Wow- handing another participant your multi tool. That’s racing on faith- faith that if you need it, someone else will come through for you!❤️ inspiration to keep racing in perspective. Glad to know I'm not the only one that yells "HI " followed by whatever animal noise!! 🤣🤣
What a stage! 😂 that ending, while very unfortunate for syd, cracked me up. You could feel the frustration through the video. Awesome job guys! Can't wait for the next stages
Brutal! There is no other word!!!
I can't say anything that everyone else hasn't already; Your videos are the best! It's amazing what you both do!
How does this series just keep getting better and better!?
This content is epic. Skills are amazing, and Lo is a riot. Unbeatable combination!
Solid solid stuff - great storytelling you two, and I thoroughly enjoy the during race commentary, I remember carrying on a conversation in my head during races, it feels very similar to the ones Syd was having!
"Look ahead....don't drop your potato". If I had a dime for every time I've said that!
The command of the Spanish language is impressive
It's been a long time I last waited this much for a youtube episode!
Awesome video. You guys are crushing it.

Dang! That looked rough. Well done to yʻall. Syd totally loved your commentary, f-bombs and all.
Love the cut between you two when Mackie had finished 😂
I'm not exactly sure what it is, but this is your best content so far; I'm just riveted and can't wait for each new episode. Somehow, watching you guys do this epic race, is making my 35 mile rides seem like a walk in the park. Thanks soooo much for keeping me on the edge of my seat.
You guys are amazing. So cool to see all your hard work paying off. Super impressed with your Spanish, too. Keep being most awesome!
You Two are such amazing riders! I am always in awe of Mackeys skill then I watch with gaped mouth as Syd passes so many people on the descents! Snickers is the got to snack!

Keep doing what you do 😁👍‼
Awesome race recap Syd and Macky!! Sure helps to know the language.
Great video looking forward to day 4.
Oh, that looked so hard. Evidently you found your head unit in the end? I always use a lanyard to save the embarrassment/ cost of losing it. Great work
Damn poor Federico
Awesome epik video 👍❤
So impressed not just with the talent y’all have with racing, but the Spanish 👌🏻 SUBD
Lol, forget the Fireball and take some Jaegermeister. A centuries old medicinal liquor which works magic!
Great video! Did you get your GPS back ?? Hope you weren't hurt too bad. You 4 did AWESOME! Such inspiration. Stay safe and God bless
when i heard that gopro shutoff sound, my brain had a very familiar hiccup. Well done hahahah

Great job guys ❤❤
Well, you did this for the adventure, it was not going to disappoint . . .tough break (no pun intended) for Frederico
Otra etapa increíble. Ésta etapa reina fue brutal. Es que más de sesenta millas y diez mil pies to escalada hace un día agotador.
Acabasteis muy bien. 👍
What an epic stage!
Hi
You need to come to South Africa and do the Cape Epic stage race. Considered one of the toughest
Shokz headphones can’t be as good as Syd and Macky goes on about.
That at least was what I thought until I got the opportunity to test them. Never going back to my Jaba Elite and I love my Jabra Elite.
Holy cow you guys rock goood daMIT congrats on and still 1. place ;-) keep up the good work and production you guys are the best
