The part with her coming down the stairs and not being able to run away…that’s right out of my nightmares.
A rare gem in the world of horror. Very suspensful with great filming for only taking place in 3 rooms and a staircase. The monster's costume was top notch and her movements were her believable

That was a real jump scare..I laugh on horror movies but this jump scare really got me.
One highly anticipated jumpscare and a half-baked ending jumpscare. It's a low-cost, youtube horror short film that still does a decent job for what it costs you... I can't take the guy seriously when he "falls" down the stairs nor when he's dragged back up, he slides down the stairs on his belly and then they rewind that footage for the following scene and its utterly HILARIOUS! ^-^
The script was likely taken from a child's scary stories book obtained at a school bookfair but works well enough to merit (considering most of all modern horror relies on simplicity to feel familiar to the audience and invoke the scare that it could be you next!)
Feels like Crypt TV material.
10/10 for what this film tries to do.
I thought it was silly of that girl 2 just stand there, like an idiot, while light after light turned off! I would have ran out the door by the 2nd light out! Does she not have a flashlight on that cell phone of hers?? Meh!

Very nice! Considerable tension, build up, great shots, nail biting silence - enjoyed this quite a bit. Most impressive for only the second video on your channel.

Why don't their lights work upstairs? Call the landlord - "yeah, the upstairs lights don't work, AND there's a demon, can we get our deposit back?" The lesson is, DON'T INVESTIGATE! Leave & come back in daylight - didn't these people WATCH horror movies? This was pretty good though.

Ashley's husband, Patrick, posting: A good, scary film. Two thoughts that occurred to me was, who has an upstairs where the lights don't work? Second, why didn't she run out of the house screaming when Joe was pulled up the stairs. If he were unconscious, I would have agreed with his not fighting back, but man, I would have kicked, screamed, and grabbed every bannister post I could have. So that could be defined better. If he'd said, "I -- I can't move!" then we could think, she did something to him to paralyze him. His girlfriend should have run. The thing could have still caught her outside in the dark of night. Still, very scary. Well done overall. 4/5 stars.

It looks cheaply made but the building tension and the sincerely nightmarish face of the monster girl is so much better than most high budget horror films. Kudos!

Now THIS is how you make jumpscares work..nicely done👌. The drawn out tension worked well too. It's definitely one I could watch more than once and still feel uneasy. Having the memory of a goldfish helps too😀

Alrighty then! I'll just stand here as the lights inexplicably switch off one by one rather than getting the F! out of the house and actually completing my call to Emergency Services. I just feel like being someone's dinner tonight.
For as many things as I loved, I had as many critiques. It was very well done. Generally I find younger people playing adults in large home they own a bit of stretch that ruins immersion but you both did very well. The electricity not working upstairs was a bad plot device, it was immediately unbelievable and only there to give a reason for keeping the areas dark. However the tension and suspense you created upstairs was marvelous.
Also finding the girl I think ruined the basis of your story which was taken from the poem. Making her a visible presence took the suspense away. Something that was always just seen out of the corner of your eye would have worked. It would have required some changes to the overall story but would have worked.
Anyway, I really did enjoy. I'll check your other shorts out.
