In relation to albums: Room on the 3rd floor - beach boys meets less heavy green day sound (songs you’ve heard are 5 colours, obviously, that girl, not alone) Wonderland - pop/rock but right on the line where it’s not just one (too close for comfort, all about you) Motion in the Ocean - I describe it as theatre mixed with punk, but it’s heavily influenced by the band Jellyfish. (Please please, Transylvania, sorrys not good enough) Radio:ACTIVE - the punk/rock one (lies, everybody knows, POV, corrupted, the last song) Above the Noise - synth pop with cool guitar solos here and there (shine a light) Lost Songs - mostly soft rock/alternative (I think the only one you’ve heard is RED) Young Dumb Thrills - mix of everything (happiness, you’re not special, tonight is the night, growing up)

This is from Radio:ACTIVE. That's one of their most emo albums. That one and Wonderland have some emo sounds but this one is the angry album. It's BEAUTIFUL. It was the album they released after setting u their own record label after being frustrated with being asked to change their music to fit eith what Island wanted them to be. They did eventually re-sign with Island (I guess running a label is hard? I don't think they ever officially commented on why they went back to them).
Possibly my favourite McFly song of all time! Hearing this live is a million times better than the album. For a really clear version of this live you should check out their Anthology Tour album. They did 3 nights in a row and played all of their albums live, it was magical 🤩
