Do Star Young Founders Need B-School?

Subham built a media-cum-education startup for three years and successfully exited the company to India’s largest media conglomerate. He also led a team of three to build an AI-based virtual fitness mobile app and sold it to a fitness startup and published a patent on apparatus for bone cement dispensing, mixing and injecting in order to make bone surgeries safer.
But he’s more than a successful entrepreneur as well: For two years, he worked as a junior analyst in investment banking for JPMorgan.
Now he wants to get an MBA to transition into venture capital or private equity at one of the big trinity business schools: Stanford, Harvard, or Wharton. With a 3.62 GPA from Punjab Engineering College and a GMAT score of 690, his candidacy raises the question: Does a star young founder need an MBA at all?
