But like i have seen before, as the actors get older they become wiser. Also take a look at Keanu and Tom Cruise. People are always going to see their movies because its entertaining for current time, its full of action, and its just fun!!! I think Chris should ride the wave and learn as he is having fun. I loved Chris in the 12 Strong, Extraction, the Huntsmen was entertaining, Red Dawn shows him as a leader (Which i think in real life he is a real leader. Maybe im wrong). Actually, in the marvel universe, Thor is the character with the most depth. He is 1500 years old or more. So he must have seen much more than any human!! I feel that its hard for Thor to relate to Ironman or other because of the differences of their past. Ironman and Capt, America have a common background and sometimes you see how they depended on each other. I don't think that they knew much about Thor and what he could do. He had a neutron star blasting him as he held the doors open. Dr. Strange knew more of his worth, and we saw it when they run into the Guardians of the Galaxy.
My point, is Thor was definitely needed in the Marvel Universe and I am very happy they included him.

Regarding Chris' grievances about Thor's role in the Avengers films, they're not without validation. Thor is alienated amongst the Avengers as he's literally a god among men. He's stronger than the Hulk, but since Thor isn't a mindless beast, it's hard to keep his character interesting. A good screenwriter can't even lean towards Thor's alcoholic-hedonistic tendencies as that's something the audience is more accustomed to seeing Tony Stark do. It's difficult to get Thor "grounded" since he's not with Odin, Loki and Jane all the time.

who are you talking to? It was a bad movie, people have to point out its a bad movie so that marvel doesnt make another bad movie. Because people are saying its a bad movie even Chris himself is saying its a bad movie. Thus making it easier for us to get a good movie next time. Whats even more is that everyone in response is saying that its not completely Chris fault that its a bad movie which is true. Althought he bares some reponsibilty its nowhere near as much as his fault as it is Marvels. Just Chris admiting its a bad movie makes everyone confident that the next one will be a better movie

I mean Chris is a contributing factor sure. But he's far from the one to blame, he is an actor. He's not the one making decisions but he probably does have quite bit of influence and free reign to do so. It does seem like the vibe onset was very wacky and goofy. Personally, I myself tend to get caught up in silliness also, its fun and we all love to laugh. But it's certainly quite on the nose in the context of this movie because the character of Thor is definitely no joke.

I do think he could have laid down a bit on his comedic side on acting. But surely Chris is far from the only issue of the movie and his acting was mostl good if not great. And the director should have asked him to tone it down if he believed it to be an issue. Which... He clearly didn't since the entire movie took this route.
