    He wasn't even lying. It DOES always work. It just doesn't guarantee WHO it's going to work for.
    Just shows how we can be misled by the context of events.

    Derrin put 4k on each Horse. Once he saw which won, he swapped out the one he gave her with the winner. He is a master pickpocket, you know.

    My favourite TV show of Derren's. What fascinated me most was the stunts he pulled with the professionals in the sport.

    Amazing video that's four years old, how did I miss this!!! The penny dropped when he said they had contacted other people, it was obviously a numbers game. I did think at the end he had changed the bet, or that maybe he bet on all of the runners and somehow switched the betting slip when she didn't notice. I bet professionally on UK horse on average about 40 bets every day and while I don't have a "system" per say, I do have the knowledge and software to pick many winners and am profitable. I knew there was a twist to this story and it's very clever indeed. .

    So there is in fact no system of knowing what horse is going to win, it`s just a system of building up trust. Starting with almost 8000 people and then ending up with THE one that has been lucky every time.
    2nd thought. I dont think Derren is telling the truth, he has a system that does work. He has built up trust in me :)

    So if my maths is correct, the final bet cost $4k to place and paid off $13k, he spent $20k to ensure he could give her the "magic" ticket that would win her $13k. Lol I guess giving her the ticket instead of the money does look better on camera, but personally I would have just dummied up a fake ticket and quietly handed her the $13k off screen.

    It don't explain how he predicted the horse betters correctly picking the pictures with the numbers with the odds, I think he's not letting us know the whole story, no magician would

    • @darkspy1277
      @darkspy1277 3 місяці тому

      @Puterrrr yeah but there was no way to predict at random they would do that, you understand the odds he provided of the chance of that happening right? 1000/1 plus is merely impossible, but as he said not impossible just highly improbable, but they he explains the sequence of picking horses to be a scam, but how did he tell her at the end he thought number 1 and thought no I think this other 1 will win, unless it was all pre staged. Why would he explain he will show her how to do that. Darren tries his best to make out this stuff is all simple, but I'm saying it and I'll say again, a magician will expose his secrets easily

      @@darkspy1277 It’s still the same basic system that’s been used from the start though… essentially, every race has to have _A_ winner, so if a person (or in the last case, a bet) is allocated to every horse, then you’ll always “win”.

      Here’s the thing, he _could’ve_ used a weighted coin, or perhaps even edited that shot of the bowl (pretty easy to do since there’s no camera movement), all for the sake of convenience and time… but the actual logic of what he’s doing and the probability involved is still 100% sound.

    Nonsense at the end about the coin flipping, they could have just shown heads 10 times in editing it. No way would they need to film for hours. Could be done in two minutes
