As a Sox fan here’s how I see each trade
Mariners: Yes
Phillies: hard pass, need Miller at least
Dodgers: solid, need more with DePaula
Giants: no thanks, lacks true headliner
Rangers: no, feels like quantity package
Cards: no, Saggese & Scott struggling
Pirates: not bad
It’s admittedly hard to find a deal with Robert but imo the only way you move a 26yr old superstar with that much team control is if it’s a legit package with at least one blue chipper & overall multiple top guys. BTV undervalues Robert a lot imo
I mean you simply aren't getting Miller, but painter, Abel, Crawford, caba plus Rojas and more is a very good package for an injury prone player in robert
Luis Robert isn’t a superstar, he’s had only 1 season where he’s played over 100 games in his previous 4 years so far, also had the 3rd worst strikeout to walk ratio last season in first full season along with a subpar OBP% when he has played throughout his career
Now THIS is the type of comment I like to see. Doesn’t agree with everything but offers good thoughts along with their own opinion. Thank you for this kind sir 🫡
Sox fan as well. I'd trade him in a minute for the right prospect haul. As one of the Three Disabled List Amigos of he, Moncada and Eloy, he's basically useless to the team most of the time anyway. For the right deal I'd gladly see him rehabbing for 50 plus games at a crack on some other team's injured list. So I say do it before the other clubs realize what a delicate flower he really is, and that last year was an unlikely to be repeated anomaly.
I would call you on this and include Miller. The Phillies have Wheeler and Nola locked up, control of Ranger (2025; they will fork up the cash for an extension) and Sanche (not in arb until 2026) , and Walker thru 2025. Turnbull looks like he living up to the hype. I think for a trade like this send Miller.
I wonder if a team like Atlanta would be open for Luis Robert Jr., as losing Ronald Acuna Jr. has took a hit on the Braves offense.
In terms of the outfielders there, Jarred Kelenic has been a surprising story since joining with them. Jarred's hitting .265 with an on-base of .304 with an OPS of .721. And in the last 7 and 15 games, Kelenic's hit over .300 in that span. He seems to have found his groove with the Braves compared to the first two seasons with the Mariners. Michael Harris II, what can you say? He's having an okay year, hitting .248, but in his last 7 games, hit .115 and going 3-for-26. Not sure if it's a slump he's facing right now, but wouldn't be surprised if it was the case. But Adam Duvall, man...that guy is STRUGGLING for Atlanta. He's hitting .180 for the season, and it has been a rough decline for the 35-year-old. Hitting .087 in his last 7 games, .154 in his last 15, and .159 in his last 30. I get that he's supposed to provide a veteran presence for the Braves, but there's no way they can really replicate RAJ and the energy he brings.
I don't think Atlanta has an OF in Triple-A set to be MLB-ready soon, as it's mostly their pitching that's about to be set for their debuts. Smith-Shawver, Waldrep and Schwellenbach have made their debuts this season, and some of their appearances drew a mixed bag. It would be a bit of a surprise if Atlanta were to give up one of those three as part of the deal. Maybe a couple more to sweeten the deal, and LRJ could find himself with Atlanta to inject some life into their offense there.
The Pirates desperately need another bat, preferably a 1B or OF, but that trade would be a hard no from me. That haul seems like overkill for how much pitching depth they have in the system to use as trade bait
We should bring back josh bell
@@paradiseproductions1313 I would love that, and I wouldn’t be surprised if his name gets thrown out there as the deadline approaches
I agree. They do need to make a move because no one knows how long this pitching will stay this good and it coincides with guys like Reynolds and Hayes here long term but I don't think I move Johnson. While it seems like very few hitters develop on the team, they need a young bat to produce for years if they want to win. His elite eye at the plate is something special. I'd be all for trading one or two of their young pitching prospects, along with some other guys, but not ready to give up on him. You can get quality players without losing your best prospects, look at San Diego.
Future Mariner 🥷😈
U guys don’t need any more swing and miss guys y’all need someone like arraez
No, Chicago shouldn't trade him. But they also should. No one should tank, especially in the age of the draft lottery (Chicago can't pick higher than 10th next year no matter how many games they lose this year). But the WS are a total disaster and it might be 5-6 years before they even sniff being competitive.
If they don’t trade him then probably 3 years.
@@aidenawe9359Thats a big what if though. Can he get his health situation in check?? Thats a big thing he seems to struggle with. I would love to see him play a whole season without being injured for more than half the season. He’s got a lot of talent
@@ethan2732if you're trading for Robert, you aren't worried about his health
If I were the Giants I would send Luciano to Chicago instead of Eldridge. Marco can slide in and immediately be the White Sox every day 3B and they don't have to worry about his defense at SS with Montgomery coming up soon/DeJong playing pretty well right now. Luciano and Montgomery would be a very exciting young duo in the infield.
I agree 100%. Eldridge is untouchable
I don't think White Sox want anyone with their clock ticking already.
@@ElephantInTheMfRoom then do rayner arias, walker martin, whisenhunt, and grant mccray
Speaking of DeJong, should the Sox strike while he is hot and get something? He would be a steady hand for Boston if he finishes strong. SF is desperate for a SS in the worst way,
@@jayfelsberg1931 luciano was mashing before his injury. If they plan on trading him for robert, I could definitely see them asking for dejong, or going for bichette
Only thing we can all agree on is that if the White Sox do trade him, whoever they get will not work out.
Giants fan, I don’t see the Giants trading for Robert. We need all the pitching we can get right now. Giants also have a glut of outfielders even with Lee out for the year. I also selfishly want to see Matos get more playing time. He is figuring things out but when he is hot he is red hot.
Thanks for putting Pittsburgh on here!! I think they will make some moves, even if the aren't full buyers, they may buy and sell at the same time. A starting quality CF would help things out so much for the team along with a power hitting 1B. I would get Bell and a relief pitcher from Miami at least.
That Mariners trade is dumb. Hancock is very needed for depth with Woo having injury problems. Change Emerson for Young, change Hancock for Arroyo. M's Add Canzone, Clase and Morales. White Sox add Kopech and Colas.
Trade then looks like this:
M's get: Robert/Kopech/Colas
Sox get: Canzone/Young/Montes/Arroyo/Clase/Morales
Dodgers won’t trade De Paula for Roberts. They are super high on him.
3 years of team control for Robert sound enticing tho.
@@cardenas86pcec Dodgers have many more high level prospects that would entice them. De Paula is pretty much untouchable
They would rather trade Pages or Outman than De Paula tbh. Probably something like Pages Cartaya Knack and a couple other prospects
Debut in 2020 and 1 season over 100 games played.
I legit think the Pirates are gonna trade for Mason Miller at his max value
Would be crazy 😂
That Seattle package is INSANE😂
Gotta give up something good to get something good.
Just like we did with Castillo we have the Prospects
Yes! 🫵
Any trades for Reinsdorf?!?! I don’t want them to trade him but if they decide to, can you do it next Sunday? We’re seeing them here Saturday against the Diamondbacks. That’d be great, thanks. Mmmkay.
Again, very against trading LuiBob just like I am with Crochet, but these packages were much better compared to Garrett’s IMO. As a White Sox fan, but a Pirates supporter being my “NL team”, if we have to trade him I HOPE it’s to Pittsburgh for a package centered around Termarr
I think whitesox would want value of 50 to 60 for Robert
That mariners return seems light. cant see them letting Robert go without getting a teams top prospect plus another top 5 in their system, goes without saying they need to be top 100's
Also, Sox arent likely to take pitching in a return for Robert, their system is insanely heavy already with pitching.
I like the idea of getting him but not for any of the top 5 or 7 our farm is loaded and he is injury prone
im sure jack liter will be fine. he needs some time. he is only 24 after all. give him a little bit longer and im sure he'll be good. he wasn't 2 overall pick for no reason
switch out crawford with abel and if do it in a second
Yeah probably, would be sad to see Tait leave though. Would be mooch more comfortable with a Crawford, Abel, and Rincon package
Think that's a little too much for the M's to give up for the injury prone Roberts. I have little doubt they will need Hancock before the season is over, and Emerson is considered by many as the M's number one prospect and might be untouchable.
Swap Cole Young for Colt Emerson, and you're on point.
Colt Emerson and Felnin Celesten are probably the only two near untouchables on Ms farm. They could be available, but it would have to be for a haul.
I’m surprised to hear Colt Emerson would be considered an untouchable over Cole Young. Young has been great in the minors so far.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. This feels like the movie Major League. Drop all stars, make attendance poo poo and move the team. I can't prove it but he doesn't care anymore.
Lazaro Montes CANNOT BE MOVED! Please NO On the mariners trade
Bob Nightingale wrote it would take a trade package similar to No what the Padres gave the Nationals for Soto. Have you seen this? What do Yoù n think. The way Getz handled the Cease trade, I wouldn’t be surprised.
No way they get that level package
@@rhyde No way they sell at 36 either though. Might as well keep him if that is what the market values him at.
The Sox could probablky get half of the OKC starting rotation from the Dodgers for Robert. The Dodgers have pitching prospects stacked up on pitching prospects.
These conversations all start with agreeing on the market surplus value. If the market values Robert at 36 then Getz is not selling. As someone mentioned over the weekend, Sox are looking at Soto level returns. So you are probably looking at 90-100 in surplus value. 5 war x 3.5 seasons * 9m - 61 = 96.5
You’re simply just not going to see that because of the track record of injuries, which plays a big part in valuing a player. I agree it will probably be higher than it is right now, but it’s not going to be Juan Soto level, and teams know this. Getz knows this too, but he’s holding onto as much leverage as he can.
@@rhyde I agree it’s not Soto level. I think his surplus was 160 at the time of that trade. That’s why I said 90-100. Just not 36. It’s like a stock, you hold if the market under values it. You sell high. Only time you sell low is if their contract is expiring.
@@rhyde I do like the Mariners offer you had. But I also think their prospects were undervalued by BTV
We would do that trade in a minute the first trade
M’s fan here we say no. Harry ford and Michael arroyo and Jonathan clase seems fair. He has too much injury worry. Has only played one full season without injury
even if the phillies don’t get him, i just want him to go to a team that can give him the best chance to stay healthy cuz he’s a star.
Cardinals, Tinker Hence, Alex Burelson , Michael Siani.
To Chisox
For Louis Robert's.
Get er done Mo.
I think the O’s will trade for Mason Miller and Sonny Gray.
The fact Mariners 25th in Offense and still 6 games up in the division ☠️
Reds could make a competitive package for him
Robert is going to switch dugouts on Monday when he visits the M's this week Thanks Chicago Seattle
If healthy, then all these proposals are all too low. He's a sneaky great value, the only question is health. Reminds me of Buxton a little bit.
I’d rather go low on these while also including 1 or 2 Top 100 prospects. You can always add to it.
Yeah buddy Jose De Paula’s untouchable especially with a guy who’s had his fair share of injuries which hurts his trade value
Are you sure about that? 👀
Ah here we go with every other fan base giving their completely unreasonable trade proposals
Yankees could make a move and DH him
Robert's so talented. (MVP level)..I just don't know if there is an org would take such a gamble on a guy who can't stay healthy.
Has some risk, but you could say he turned a corner last year playing 145 games. Sure, he got hurt this year, but if he shows he’s good over the next month and a team needs a bat, then anything can happen.
@@rhyde Hey Robbie. Yeah I have no doubt there'll be serious interest in Robert Jr., but I just don't think he has enough of a track record to bring back a massive haul. But like you said, if he goes off the next couple of months and a team is a big bat away..?
If The White Sox trade Luis, the future of the team is destroyed if not already. Plus I will cry
I love Jose de Paula. Want him to stay.
I feel like the white sox want a "bonefide stud" in all of these trades, make teams uncomfortable. I feel like they want quality over quantity beacause they are not confident in being able to develop projects lately.
I wish Luis Robert go to Boston
Mookie is not going back to OF. He and Dodgers said they want to avoid the wear and tear of playing the OF and Mookie prefers to play IF. Hes pretty much an IF for the rest of his career. And no on trading De Paula, he is pretty much untouchable
The wear and tear at SS is much worse and he has publicly said it’s been hard on him 😂
@@rhyde he literally said he feels fresher than hes been since he was 21. And no playing the OF is worse. Throwing harder, chance to run into a wall, higher probability to injure legs 🤣
I’d rather the Giants give the White Sox Luciano instead of Eldridge
Is this guy serious Walcott to Chicago? 😂 bruh no way
If I had a penny for everytime someone commented “this guy” followed up with a critique, and then offer no thought process of their own, I would be able to buy the Rangers
Braves Would Make Sense
The Cardinals front office and ownership will NEVER make this kind of trade! They dont care about this team or fans!
Idk about that one
@@aidenawe9359 then you dont know anything about the Cardinals!
you want us to trade robert for everybody else's JUNK ok
Junk???
Sorry Robbie but Mariners aren't moving montes.
It’s over Shane
should the mets keep pete and make team around him
No
It’s pronounced row bear
I knew this was going to be a comment. Go listen to how the White Sox commentators say it and come back.
All these trade is terrible. You gonna have to atleast give you a top prospect for roberts
I’m not trying to be mean my friend, but literally every trade here has a top 100 prospect or two. My goodness 😂🤦♂️
@@rhyde no you gonna have to trade your top prospects for Roberts...not your 3 rank prospect who rank number 96 on the top 100 list
@@LSharp609that’s just completely unrealistic compared to similar trades. If they’re lucky they’ll get a prospect ranked close to the top 50
The Texas rangers deal is good I could see them getting Vlad JR
Lowe is good enough that this would never happen. Lowe doesn’t slug enough and that is true, but the defense, OBP and contact will keep him around until something completely falls off.
@@josephlaeger6473 Vlad for DH and to hit 3rd in lineup has nothing to do with 1st base Vlad destroys left handed pitching. Lowe has nothing to do with getting him to hit.
Luis Robert Jr is another option I’m sure you would prefer that.
That kind of Package for a DH just feels like too much. I’m not gonna argue about valddy being an insanely good hitter. You could make the exception for him to be a DH only, but it’s going to be a lot of money for a guy whose only going to hit, and the second he’s not hitting it’s gonna bite you in the ass, but also it’s Vlad so I get it. Only other thing too is it sort of goes against the Ranger’s philosophy of having a designated DH. They use it more in a way to get other guys AB’s or to give guys a day off who they want to keep in the lineup. So from their perspective trading for a DH only doesn’t seem likely.
I would probably prefer Robert but I go back and forth because the Eangers have the pieces that if they connect it’ll be amazing, but Robert is already a half completed puzzle so idk😂
@@josephlaeger6473 I want the Rangers to get a bat and number three hitter to protect Seager.
Robbbbbiieee
Loooooouuuu
DA WHITE SOX NEED TO TRADE HIM CUZ U JUST DONT KNOW IF HE A CAPABLE EVERYDAY PLAYER HE LOOKS LIKE HIS BODY WONT HOLD UP. GET WHAT U CAN BETTER THEN HAVING HIM AND HOPING HE GONNA PLAY U GET 3-4 BALLERS FOR SOMEONE WHO PLAYS MVP TYPE GAMES BUT ONLY SUITS UP FOR 50-60 % OF DA GAMES FOR A TEAM WHO NOT GOING ANY WHERE AND HAVING 3-4 PLAYS WHO CAJ SUIT UP MORE THEM 60% OF DA GAME IS A WIN.
needs some more ears in his voice
Makes no sense to rebuild by trading for cheap, long term assets
What?
I don’t think you understand what the term “rebuild” means
NOW MARINERS AND DA ARIZONA OUR OFFERING TWO TOP TALENTED BALLERZ WHO R ABOUT READY AND VERY INTRIGUING IF THEY CAN GET 4 PLAYER WHICH SOX HAVE DA LEVERAGE GREAT GM WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN
Sorry Chicago White Sox fans. There is no way you are getting either Emerson or Montes for Robert unless you're dreaming. Lol. Everybody online is drastically overstating Roberts value right now. My bet is Robert doesn't get moved at the deadline. He will get moved at some point but GM will wait until his value gets back up to what it was before the injury this year. Right now it's really low coming back from injury. Nobody knows how healthy he is and he is not even playing every day. That's typically not the type of player you acquire for a playoff push.
I’m ok with getting him but nothing from the top 7 he is too injury prone that has to lower his value I feel if we wait it out we can get him for less on deadline day unless someone overpays then oh well I guess
