    This arrived double boxed with the main box having pictures of the air fryer on the sides, along with listed features, functions, and specifications. Once opened you have a pouch containing the manual, recipe booklet, and a tip sheet. The air fryer is sandwiched between bespoke polystyrene, and inside a protective sleeve. Everything is contained within the air fryer with the main door held closed with removable tape.
    First impressions: this has a minimalist look with a glass panel in the front door, and all the touch controls being LED illuminated in a single panel on the top front which remains blank until you power on the unit. This stands nice and solidly on a flat surface, and I like that it is a square unit which in my opinion makes for easier storage and placement than some of the unique shaped air fryers.
    Once I had opened everything up I gave all the removable parts a good wash to remove any remaining manufacturing taint, and had a read through the manual. I found the manual very clear and easy to follow, giving nice clear instructions and also breakdown linked diagrams for easy identification.
    I put the air fryer on a test run as per the manual, and then I was ready to try it out. I first tested this with a 1.3kg chicken using the rotisserie fork set and shaft with the roast setting. I found fitting the chicken on the fork fairly straight forward with the turn screw locking the forks in place, I did ensure the chicken was tied to stop the wings and legs catching while it turned. The chicken came out really well with nice crisp skin, and tender meat. Removing the fork after use can be a bit fiddly so you do have to ensure you use oven gloves.
    I next tried it out with some fresh cut potatoes into chips, and lightly coated in olive oil. I gave these 30 minutes although the pre-set for air frying is 20 minutes I gave the extra as these were fresh and not frozen chips. These turned out crisp and well cooked right through using the rotisserie drum, and I didn’t find they got caught up or stuck to the sides which made them easy to remove.
    I have since tried out the bake feature with a small pie which worked perfectly well, and the toast setting which works well but I would only really use it for cheese on toast as a simple toaster is quicker. Cleaning after use is fairly quick and easy with everything being removable
    Overall I was quite impressed with this air fryer. I like the simple touch display which is very responsive, and also allows for adjustment on the fly. The rotisserie feature works well for even cooking, and removes the need for keep stopping and shaking items up items such as chips or chicken wings to allow even cooking. The glass door allows you to keep an eye on the cooking with a light switch to check, and I didn’t find the controls unnecessarily complex.

      Considering the thing has two trays would it be possible to put ribs on both to have roasted ribs? I assume using the roast function and setting it up for 3 hours swapping heights each hour or so.

    How do you make chips (fries)? Do you boil the potatoes first or just cut them up and start cooking them?

    • @Kalbo64
      @Kalbo64  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi, I have made them both ways but have found they don't really need boiling first unless they are really thick cut.

    Nice video, thank you. Considering its size would you recommend it for a family of four?

      @Kalbo64  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi, thank you. In my opinion this is a good size for a family of four. I find it is often used for cooking part of a meal such as the meat and roast potatoes, with the veg on the gas cooker. Unless there are multiple items we use this rather than the gas oven.

    Hi Chris loved your video , just purchased one of these , but it was missing instructions manual,also recipe book,I got onto Amazon where I purchased and told them this , they informed me I would have to send back get refund and purchase again 🤔, as they couldn’t send me them,would you have any suggestions, TIA

    • @Kalbo64
      @Kalbo64  5 місяців тому +1

      Hi, and thank you for the kind comments. Personally I would probably return and re-purchase as they suggest. The reason I say that is because I would want the instructions and recipe book as a hard copy, rather than search online, and I would be wary that the unit may have been a return mixed up with a new unit due to missing parts. I presume you can still purchase again for the same price, and the return would be free due to incomplete items. You may be able to go through your order history and select the return from there, and choose replacement rather than the options customer support are giving you. Hope this helps.

    Hi. I've just ordered one from Amazon. It's not listed on the UK Cosori site so I took a look at it on the USA site. The USA site states a Prop 65 warning and states "This product can expose you to chemicals including Acrylamide which is known to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm". Have you seen this scare before? I'm wondering if this applies to the UK.

    • @Kalbo64
      @Kalbo64  8 місяців тому +3

      Hi, I had not seen it before. I did research Acrylamide which seems to be something that forms in food during high-temperature cooking. I believe this warning would appear on all items using high-temperature cooking, so not unique to this product. I am going on what I have managed to read on this rather than knowledge or experience though.

    How does this compare with a normal air fleeing running costs?

    • @Kalbo64
      @Kalbo64  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi, I find is cheaper to run than a convectional oven, more so if you have an Electric oven. We have a gas oven so I will use the air fryer for single items, and the oven for multiple items cooking at the same time on different levels.

    Would it be cheaper than the normal oven

    • @Kalbo64
      @Kalbo64  7 місяців тому

      Hi, yes it is cheaper than cooking in a convectional oven. Most comparisons are between electric ovens and air fryers, and not gas which is cheaper to run. With the reduction in cooking time, smaller area to heat they cost around half the price of a electric oven per hour, but with a gas oven the cost saving is on cooking time rather than cost per hour of run time.
      From a personal view I use the air fryer more for single items, and use our main gas oven for larger and multiple items to cook at the same time. Hope this helps.

    How long was the pre heat?

    • @TheCybertiger9
      @TheCybertiger9 6 місяців тому

      approx. 2-4 minutes, but you don't have to pre heat if you prefer. If you don't use it, you would have to guess how long the cooking time would suffice. (trial and error depending what your'e cooking) BTW,,,It cooks VERY fast.
