    Ive been stuck with regular whistling for years. I always wondered how people "warbled", separating two notes cleanly like that. When i watched your vid and tried to whistle with the L position you mentioned and it worked! Its like doors of possibilities have been opened for me. Thanks so much!

    I warble with my tongue in the same position as it always is, behind my bottom teeth. Didn't know there were so many other ways to do it. The way you taught does seem like an easier way to learn it for the first time.
    Just rewatched the description of the 4 ways. Guess I'm using #3?

    You can use the full circle at the front of your tongue against the hard pallet to create different tones. You can warble by fixing the tip of your tongue in the front of your mouth and wiggling the sides of your tongue against the sides of the hard pallet to create the air stops.
    Try it.
    The glottal stop is also a silly warble. Completely different. Try humming while you do that one. It's ... whacky.

    Great tutorial!
    Took me around 45 minutes but the tone at the palate is pretty breathy, and quite difficult to get to high notes
    Also: If I alternate between two notes, is the lower note always on the lower teeth, and the higher note always at the palate?

    well the only way I can really explain it is kind of like how you just did I guess I whistle with my tongue actually touching the pallet of my mouth I have been sitting here for a fat minute now trying to whistle with my tongue touching my bottom gums and I can't do it at all feel like a little kid again trying to learn how to whistle but I can do somewhat of a wobble I guess when I whistle I can also hum while whistling and it creates a pretty interesting warble like effect. I can still change my notes and whistle around while humming. definitely doesn't sound like what you just did but has a nice distinct vibration tone to it

    so I learned how to warble like this, but only between like two notes. I can whistle three octaves so this is weird. it also doesn’t lead to a natural vibrato which is kinda what i’m looking for too!

    I have been whistling all my life. It's really great to learn to whistle with the tong not touching the teeth. Now a question. I found that I must put my tong on the lower teeth for very high notes. is that right? Any tips? Thanks.

    • @YukiTakeda
      @YukiTakeda  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Harold, thanks for your comment. I do that too for higher notes, and it’s because it helps to reduce the resonance chamber size by blocking the space beneath your tongue. For warbling in higher notes, I recommend learning the cheek warble so that you don’t need to lift your tongue. (see my other tutorial)

    Hi I was wandering if any one can warble. I have been practicing for 2 weeks now whenever I’m bored but I can’t get any sound out with my toung at the top off my mouth. Also just for note I’ve been whistling for a while now ever since I was like 8 or 9 and I’m 16 now.
    I’m able to whistle pretty much every song that I like and I can learn new ones pretty fast just by listening to them for like a hour. But I have really wanted to learn to warble so I can add more style instead off just my plain old whistle. But as I said I haven’t been able to warble even a little bit or get any sound out with my toung on my palet. Is it somthing that I won’t ever be able to do because the way my mouth is shaped. I’ve also tried the cheak warbled but when I grab my cheak I can’t get any sound to com out when I pull it away. So is it somthing I’m doing wrong and I just need to practice more. Or do you think I physically can’t because the way my mouth is shaped what are your thoughts

    • @YukiTakeda
      @YukiTakeda  2 роки тому +1

      Hi friend! It took me about 1 year to figure out this warbling, and another 3 years to figure out cheek (partially because there were no tutorials at the time). So don’t give up. Try imagining “hoo” (instead of the normal “phew”) as a sound when you whistle with the tip of your tongue on your palate.
      There is a slight possibility that your whistling is a different kind (non-pucker) though. If you’re on Discord, look for Whistlecord, and you can ask for advice there with a recording of your whistling.
