Attention all plzz. I have done cornea transplant before 14 days and my vision is good then before now but day by day going very batter after 1 day surgery. The doctor said to me ur operation is very better. And after 7 days checking the another doctor's said to me after check ur operation best ... I have fell no pain after operation.
Love your videos. I was recently diagnosed with keratoconus. I have a very high prescription so I’m assuming it’s moderate to advanced? I wasn’t told how severe it was. My question though, wouldn’t corneal transplant be ideal for anyone who has keratoconus despite how early or late their keratoconus is? Because crosslinking doesn’t cure keratoconus, it only stops the progression. I don’t understand why patients opt for crosslinking when the benefits for a transplant outweigh crosslinking. I’m assuming it’s costs? Anyway I hope my transplant goes well.... I have a consultation in a few days
10 days post-op is too early. I'd say give it at least a month. Though I highly recommend asking your doctor to be sure. It's been awhile since my transplant so i can't say for sure. I just wore lipstick for awhile after my transplant.
it took some time to be honest. In most cases improved vision isn't instantaneous after a corneal transplant, it takes some time to heal and vision doesn't usually improve to its fullest extent until the sutures are removed.
hay I am just recovering from cross linking is the pain similar? am freaking out cos I just got told il need to have this surgery long term the vision in my right eye is fine but my left is so poor it's the pain that worries me more than anything
+tevez2city Hello, I have not yet had cross linking but I actually was told that when I get it the pain is worse than a transplant. I only had mild pain after my transplant for a few days. The day of and the day after was a dull pain around my eye from the pressure of the laser cutting device. on day 3 and 4 there was a little bit of pain around the incision, a little sharper but still mild. All of my pain was manageable with tylenol extra strength. the first few days I took it with my eye ointment every six hours. after that reduced it until i was off of it. I only dealt with pain for probably 4-5 days. Just make sure that when you do get your surgery to rest up. I hope this helps some! let me know if you have any other questions.

so it looks like i was wearing makeup again at 1 month. but it may have been a little sooner. Ask your doctor just to be sure.
Kelly McEwen did you start wearing eye makeup again after a month? Or just face makeup? And how do you go about removing eye makeup after?
hi I'm scheduled for my transplant soon i was wondering how long i might be out of work i read a computer for a living. you are very helpful thank you

Hi can you tell how to remove eye makeup after Corneal transplant??
I personally use a silicone makeup removing brush, but i take extra care not to put much pressure on my eyes.
Thanks for the video! I have to have a corneal transplant in both my eyes. My first corneal consultation is next month. I freaking out.
Best of luck during your consultation and future surgeries! :) In my experience the anticipation is the scariest part.
Thanks! How long did it take you to begin driving and resume normalcy again after the surgery?
