Do you not find it "convenient" that the story of jesus was written some 50 or more years after his death and most certainly NOT by any eye witnesses and therefore anything that he did could conveniently made to fit so called prophecies in a book of somewhat dubious nature ?
You say there are 'many' that speak of his return, well I would suggest that there are billions who say that it's all make-believe nonsense.
Think about it. Do some research for your self. Ask questions, real questions, not of your Pastor but of real historians. I would high;y recommend any works by Richard Carrier on the historicity of jesus.
+Karin Dunham sometimes it is actually harder to live for Jesus than die for Him. We are to look forward to His coming in our lifetime. We are not just guaranteed it will happen in our lifetime. The problem is with people setting dates or clamping they know without a doubt they are the generation. We know Jesus will keep His word.

There is a living God who loves you so much that he gave his own son to die on the cross as his atoning sacrifice for your sin that if we put our faith in Jesus And claim him as our Savior and accept his sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins, he would forgive us and we can be right with God, reconciled to him and invite Jesus through Holy Spirit to come into our lives and hearts which means we are permanently sealed as a child of God and when we step into eternity we would be in our Father's home.

Maybe Anne needs to come live in Africa (pick any country) to see just how blessed, prosperous and protected America is. If messed up weather, broken economies and destroyed political and ethical systems are a direct result of God's judgment, then by that logic, Africa has been totally abandoned by Him (which, of course, we haven't been).
