  • In this video I outline how to beat the winter blues and not riding your bike by heading to southern Arizona where the temperatures are perfect for riding, the roads are in great shape and the desert is green and in bloom. If you are looking for a resource to find roads to ride check out Sterling Noren's website, link below, or even stay at his hotel and maybe catch up with him. There is great camping all over southern Arizona with plenty of offroad opportunities.

    Those cactus look amazing! Great video. I am totally envious of the gorgeous scenery you have there.
    It got downright hot the last few weeks in Central Texas. I am enjoying the little cold front that has recently passed through. We had better enjoy it before the brutal summer heat! I have a feeling it’s gonna be another record breaker here.

      @@advmatt My boss is currently in Big Bend on vacation! I have never been there, but my wife went there and said it is amazing, and I believe her because she knows her nature! The most amazing nature I have seen is New Mexico. Don’t know if you are passing through on your way, but that has to be the most spectacular place I’ve seen. Albuquerque was awesome, but Santa Fe gave me a sort of spiritual feeling. I feel like Big Bend may offer some of that same grandiosity.
      Man, have a good time and be safe. You are living a great dream on that Tenere through some amazing places!

    Hey Matt, thanks for your great videos. I ride a Husky FE350S and a 2022 KTM 390 Adventure. I’m also tired of the Central Oregon winter and Toyhaulered down to AZ on my way to camping around outskirts of Greater Phoenix, then north and to Moab. Only 1500 miles on KTM and mysteriously, it has decided not to start the next morning after parked overnight…turns over but won start. Weird - it must be something with the electronics. Have an appointment in Peoria AZ to tomorrow with AEO Power Sports so hope to get back riding and not push loading/unloading at every spot.

      I haven't heard of that problem with the bike not starting like that. Hope it's a simple fix. Maybe the spark plug vap came loose, or something simple like that. AZ riding is great right now!

    • @drgabbert
      @drgabbert 6 місяців тому +1

      Turned out to be a spark plug - shop doesn’t have one so it’s on order. Thinking of swapping out to a Tenere…looks like you ride one now. Keep up the great posts!

    Hi, I would like ask you out off this topic. I Did the same resonator removal as you, on KTM 390. Did you noticed fuel consumption change? On my, it goes slightly up, but sounds very good. Range of vibs is also different. I've got definitely better filing now. Thanks Matt.

    • @advmatt
      @advmatt  6 місяців тому

      I didn't notice a huge difference in fuel consumption. I hadn't thought about it, but it did seem to smooth out the vibrations some.

      @@advmattThanks for your respond. We have Euro measurements units. It seems to grow up around 0.3L per 100km. Not a big deal, still offering more benefits.

    Could I take a Honda NC750X off road or is it too rough?

    • @advmatt
      @advmatt  6 місяців тому +1

      You can ride everything I rode on your NC750X. There were a few light rocky areas but was overall easy roads. The AZ BDR section has a bypass for a very technical area on the northern end. Take the bypass, don't try the main route.
