I have to say that this really ministered to my heart. I grew up not understanding just how deep God’s love is for me. I grew up a Christian but fell away from the lord in my twenties I just never could comprehend just how forgiving and merciful our lord is. Shame kept me so far from his loving arms but, in the last two to three years I am relearning his truth. The TRUTH that he is a good loving father who never shames me, who never will hold my past against me and forgive me and welcome me home like the parable of the prodigal son. I see throughout my life he’s been the God of love and hope wanting me to learn the truth of his mercy.
This song is everything for me right now. In my early thirties now and truly learning more of who God is, it’s just an amazing song to match what my heart is being healed from.
