Great video Carmen/Brian……my husband and I (seniors) spend a few weeks in September every 2/3 yrs in Surfside…rent a second row condo in a small complex, has pool, ocean view, one block to beach…..we love it and theres so much to see and do from Myrtle Beach to Murrells and beyond….. in two weeks we’ll be there and your video showed the updates since our last visit. Thank you

Lived in surfside for 2 years. Best decision of my life. Can't wait to go back and stay permanently. I'm from Los Angeles, born and raised. LA is disgusting. Surfside was like a little piece of heaven I found. If you moved there or stay there, just don't bring your big city liberal bullshit there, appreciate it and cherish it

Awesome video! Me and my daughter are headed over there in mid July! I’m a bit worried about the recent heat stirring up a hurricane but I hope not! It will be her first time seeing the ocean and she is ten!

Hello Carmen/Brian: My Aunt Use To Live Like 3/4 Blocks From The Ocean At Surfside/You Could Walk In Her Front Yard & See The Ocean! So Nice :-) When My Parents Would Go Visit Her They Would Go To “K&W Cafeteria & Few Other Places Too Eat :-) That Was Yrs Back Though,Anyways Thanks For Sharing :-D NC

Surfside Beach is a nice secret. People just assume it is Myrtle Beach, but it is far from it. Live here and love it.

Nice video. Have stayed in Surfside since 84. Pirateland all but once. Lakewood last year. Renting an ocean side house this October. Can't wait. Surfside is the only place I'd like to stay. Love Myrtle Beach but I love the quiet, family friendly atmosphere of Surfside.

You’ve been living there in the MB area for a while. I’m wondering which neighborhood you think has the best quality of life for a family with school aged kids.
There are a lot of great neighborhoods! Since we don't have school-age children, we're not going to be as familiar with schools and such. Some general areas you might want to look into depending on your price range is the Carolina forest area, and the market common. However your best bet is to work with a realtor who is even more familiar with the area And particularly the schools. Good luck on your search!
Do they have lifeguards and chair rentals in Surfside?
They do in the more populated areas yes.
hanks for the video on Surf Side we have swapped our condo in Murrells Inlet for one at Sand Pebble Resort. Do y'all know anything about it wanted something ocean front instead of on the golf course. We like to eat at surfside jenny's for breakfast but heard it had closed. Thanks Again for the videos

1st stop for us is always River City Cafe for a burger right by the pier. Bubba and Crabby Mike's definitely regulars for us.
I've heard a lot of good stuff about River City Cafe!
Wow! I love when yall do touring videos. I always find new places to check out! We have never gone to walk around Surfside beach!
Now we have gone to the Golden Egg and Crabby Mike's restaurants on kings hwy but that's it. We usually are just driving in and out.
We will definitely go for a walk in Surfside on our next trip! 🏝🎉💖

I'm so glad you did this video! I'm considering Surfside Beach for my trip in October also! I like the seemingly slower pace, although I'm sure as you said it gets packed during the day during normal business hours. I'm interested in the Surfside Beach Oceanfront Hotel, but I have read reviews that the balconies are small, and there is construction noise (from the pier) and some of the restaurants and bars nearby may be loud at night. Regardless its still high on my list of places to stay for my visit! I have to make up my mind soon, I'm now just 2 months away lol Thanks again, love yalls videos! **Edit - also -- last year during my visit I ate at River City Cafe there in Surfside and had the best burger and appetizer right on the beach! One of my favorite places I ate at while I was there. AND BIG CONGRATS on 10K subs!!
That is a lot to consider. I’ve heard that hotel is very nice but yes I can see how there could be noise from the construction right now. Whatever you decide we hope you have a great trip! Thank you for the congratulations!

Haven't been to Surfside, though I've passed through the area. Always love a place like Bubba's. We usually were a bit North up the coast, but we always hunted for the cool local dives/eateries to find the interesting places to eat. How do you fare with the GF options or info at some of these places?
My gluten restrictions have eased a bit. Still avoid it but I don't have to worry so much about cross-contamination which opens up a world of options.
