Yes, the baby is absolutely precious! Love seeing the baby! My daughters were basically raised with Pink Floyd in the background, and they still love it and are fans, particularly of the Animals album, but dark side of the moon and the wall too
My Mom took me to see Pink Floyd for my First concert in 1987, I was not quite 9. It was a blessing and a curse cause NO Other concert has compared since!! Their concerts are an experience
Ha, that little pig toy your child is playing with is perfect for listening to Pink Floyd. The "flying pig" was a staple for years at their concerts. So the baby is hip 🤙🏻
nice reaction. Gilmour knows how to make a guitar emote, It's one of the reasons he is considered by many to be the best. There are a lot of talented musicians that can shred or make it scream but few can make it emote and no one like Gilmour.
Have a listen to the studio version of this song. Also, you want to be put in a mood, then listen to Shine On You Crazy Diamond (studio version) and Wish You Were Here amongst many many others.
Phenomenal guitar solo. And this version is the best of the ones I've heard (and that I've heard quite a few). The second solo lasts more than five minutes but I always think it's short, it should go on and on and on and on... The whole Pulse concert is a fantastic treat for the ears as well as the eyes. Perhaps the best live performance in the history of modern music. If you like David Gilmour's guitar, try "Sorrow", "Run Like Hell" or "Coming Back To Life" from this concert. Amazing! Please excuse my English, I am from the Czech Republic.
Yeah, I've seen them live a lot too, and this is the best version of that solo I've ever heard too. In fact, this is my favourite solo all time, although I know that's hardly an original opinion. And while all of your suggestions were good, certainly if they like the light show and how it worked with the guitar, then Sorrow is a great one for you to mentioned first.
What sets David Gilmour apart from other great great guitar players, is the way he turns his solos into an emotional ride, so you not only hear it but you feel it too! You don’t just listen to Pink Floyd, you experience them! This is one of those rare groups that in my opinion, sounds better live than in the studio.
David Gilmore auctioned off 127 of his guitars for a total of $21.5 million dollars. The guitar he’s playing at this concert sold for $615,000. The guy is legendary.
Greatest live guitar solo ever. You have just witnessed true greatness!!! And the point that you felt the guitar was still talking to you - there's nothing else to say: you get it. You have just taken a first major step into a whole new world of music. One does not just listen to Pink Floyd. It is an EXPERIENCE. it makes you feel the music an d see the music as well as hear it. I am blessed to have seen the live on that tour in 94 at Oakland Coliseum. A night i will never forget. Best live show i ever saw...and heard....and felt. And that is one adorable baby you have there.
All there music takes you to another galaxy, there isnt anything like it. I can listen to David Gilmore play his guitar 24/7. There will never be another Pink Floyd,
Its always great to see another person get into Pink Floyd - and Dave Gilmour - with a guitar in his hands he brings the emotion out of the strings. An absolute master.
amazing song, deep lyrics, great show, and probably the greatest solo of all time. not for fast tricks etc, but he always makes the guitar sing. check out other songs from this Pulse show. so good. nice reaction too, even the lil kid seemed to enjoy 😁
Gilmore's 2nd solos is epic, historical, maybe the best ever laid down. The entire song is a masterpiece. If you don't get a lump in your throat or misty eyed, if not outright crying by the end, you were born without a soul.
At the Pulse concert, you are seeing 3 members of Pink Floyd from the 1960s performing at almost 50 years old and putting on a spectacular performance.
The little one was liking it too. Nice reaction. I have seen Pink Floyd live 5 times starting in 1977 or 78. It is an experience rather than a concert. The music, the lights, it is just a great experience.
Yes! Loved this reaction! Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin are the GOAT thank you for giving them a listen. David Gilmour talks and cries with his guitar. I can't help but think your little girl was enjoying the lights as well. So sweet
You said it man, David Gilmour puts so much expression in his playing, he makes it sing. In interviews he's a very reserved guy, he doesn't show much emotion, but put a guitar in his hands and that's where he says all he really needs to say.
Just FYI, in the context of The Wall story, this is a chapter. Rock star "Pink" has built a metaphorical wall around himself with various "bricks" of negative experiences (songs Goodbye Blue Sky, Mother, Another Brick in the Wall, etc.) in his life. He has become comfortably numb (definitely not a good thing) to the world, and is now catatonic ("you are only coming through in waves" and "your lips move, but I can't hear what you're saying"), but he has a show to do. The doctor is trying to get him going ("can you tell me where it hurts") and gives him a drug ("just a little pin prick"). The song Hey You shows us he's not truly comfortable though, and it all comes to a head, in his head, in The Trial.
This same 1994 Pulse Concert has many more great Pink Floyd performances, songs like,.. "Sorrow", "High" Hopes", "Learning To Fly", "Money", and more. All with incredible David Gilmour guitar solos!
Without words the music expresses the feelings and emotions that are going on inside the person going through this song. I feel what's going on inside because I'm feeling the same way.
My friend, as someone who was young when Pink Floyd first started I'm so happy you've found this. From the reaction of yourself and your lady I hope you let your little one listen to this sort of music as well. Pink Floyd will be considered the Bach, Beethoven and Brahms of the 20th century when she is an adult. Don't feed your child mainstream trash because there is no art or effort in it. Todays society teaches people to pay too much money to leave an auto tune Minaj or any Rap artist you care to name concert as if they've just left McDonalds. Full but hungry. The best for you and your family for the season from Australia.
I must insist that you should listen live Pink Floyd - On the Turning Away Remastered 2019. You can find in it a second extremely brilliant guitar solo and a deep and smooth vibe of the song.
The Wall which this song is off of is a rock opera & was meant to be listened to from start to finish, like the rest of their albums. There's even a crazy movie with the same title.
Saw their Dark Side of the Moon concert at the Cow Palace in South San Francisco and this Pulse concert at the Festhall in Frankfurt, Germany. Two of the best shows I've ever seen. I find it fascinating watching new generations being exposed to the music that was the soundtrack to my life.
No fucking way, LANpartyAnimal. I was there at the same concert in 1973 The release of their "Dark Side Of The Moon" Album, at the Cow Palace, in South S.F. What a small world huh? I live on an Island in the state of Washington. Where are you at? If I remember correctly, I was in my Senior Year of High School at that time and I am 65 years old at the moment. What I really enjoyed about that concert is that Pink Floyd sounded EXACTLY like they did on the radio! It was one of the best Sounding concerts that I've ever heard. Oh and when they played "Echoes," green smoke pouring off of the stage and they played it note-for-note as the original. Awesome. Nice to run into a brother from another and a fellow "Pink Floydian" as well. I hope you're doing well and are reasonably Happy. Oh and Happy Holidays to you and yours Keep Smiling.... Everybody feels the guitar ‘speaks’ to the soul where words would be useless. Welcome to the wonders of Pink Floyd you young ones. I have been a fan since the 1980s and their music never gets old. Thanks for the reaction 😀
I loved seeing you watch this with your beautiful family. I think the lead guitarist, David Gilmour, would have enjoyed watching you too. He’s a serious family man-he has 8 children! During Covid he made music videos with his family while on lockdown calling themselves The Von Trapped Family Singers. His youngest daughter is quite a talented musician too.
I love everything about Pink Floyd, I saw this concert... And yes, you're right, David Gilmour is not just a great performer, he tells a story with his guitar... Beautiful reaction, thanks and love from France 🇫🇷🎸😘
Pulse concert was the greatest combination of performance and light show of any concert in history. I saw it in 95 in New Orleans in the Superdome. The only concert I have ever seen in there where every inch was covered in laser light at the end of this song. Both visually and audibly spellbinding. The entire crowd was just in awe at the end. We were as drained as the band from all of the brain stimulation!!!!
I have been listening to Pink Floyd since 1973 when Dark Side of the Moon released. Fact is that name, Pink Floyd is that members of the band are influenced by Blues. Because name came from two Blues men: PINK Anderson and FLOYD Council. Their iconic album: Dark Side of the Moon stayed on the charts for over 700 weeks setting World Record. I think that it's still on the charts thanks to you, younger generation listening music that I listened to when I was young. Guitarist, David Gilmour I think is recording new songs. He and other surviving members: Nick Mason, drummer and Roger Waters Bassist (He is not in this video because he left the band) still touring.
Thank you so much for reacting to this. I was in high school when this song first came out in 1979. I remember it well. My girlfriend at the time and I loved attending concerts. It was one of the things we loved doing together. There were a huge number of wonderful groups at the time and concerts were not very expensive to attend. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Boston, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Triumph, 38 Special, Foreigner, and many others. I can not describe to you what a wonderful time it was to be young then. We were happier, relationships were closer, life was more carefree, and the music was spectacular. My heart just aches that young people will not get to experience life as we did as teenagers in the 70’s/80’s. Again, thank you so much for posting this video. It was a wonderful treat.
Pink Floyd have always been an audio-visual band, live performances have always been that way from the band's inception back in the 60s,they definitely take you on a journey and make you think
I love how much you connect with the music. You're amazing that you can hear David's words through the guitar without even a spoken word your first time seeing it. So powerful. I wish the baby could have heard David's guitar solo! In the South we call that "raising 'em right". 🤣
You started to say it.. Pink Floyd takes you somewhere. Yes, we go there too. It's some version of "It felt like I was traveling through the deep recesses of my mind."
The solo on the album recording is considered by many (including me) to be the greatest solo of all time. The pulse version is probably the greatest guitar solo ever recorded. He may not be the most technical player but there's something to be said about his ability to write solos that speak to everyone.
Beautiful, beautiful family, GOD bless you all ! BTW, I was at this concert in Foxboro MA. 1994 ! Fortunately I bought the DVD of this concert because being 62 years old and having had quite a few beers one gets very forgetful !
I'm glad the video was blurred out. It gave us a chance to watch your beautiful baby. The music went with the baby's presence. I had already seen the video and heard the song hundreds of times. But the baby made it beautiful again. Thanks.
This may be the pinnacle of guitar solos. Pulse is a showcase of Pink Floyd's versatility and creativity, their openness to technology and artistry. I realize a lot of folks are suggesting other Pink Floyd songs, all great suggestions, and I'll add my voice to those calling for "Sorrow," "Run Like Hell," "High Hopes," and "One of These Days" from the Pulse concert. There's tons of great Pink Floyd material, and they are one of the greatest rock bands ever. Thank you for reacting. (I know you've got your hands full with your baby--been there--and I wish you all the best as parents too!)
I saw Pink Floyd in the mid 80s, and they were incredible. They played Comfortably Numb with David Gilmour's signature guitar solos in the song. Just amazing !!
My best band experience in all my 77 years the music is just alive today as it was when done this band has sold more records worldwide by a long long long shot than anyone else. The diversity of the music and uniqueness of it is an experience that anyone who loves music should want to experience Pink Floyd.
I love this song and I love Pink Floyd, but I was more drawn in by your beautiful little family that you are just starting. You both have a great positive spirit about you, your little one is lucky to have you! Oh and if’s awesome you are discovering Pink Floyd too!
Hey there Recklezz Fam. You guys were right on target when you said that through the guitar solo that even though no one was singing any lyrics, that guitar was still communicating with you! I mean that guitar was Screaming and crying at times and other times it would almost become comforting. David Gilmore is the Guitarist and those smoother than smooth vocals. Pink Floyd is just an amazing group, always has been. Pink Floyd was started in 1965 and they have been in a league of their own ever since. Awesome Song, right? And to think this concert was in 1994, basically 30 years after they began. Not too shabby, I would say. They still play now & then? Incredible! Thanks for sharing this with all of us out here. Keep Smiling...
one reactor said that Gilmour's guitar has lyrics. it's a common reaction. it's like he tells you a story with his guitar. no cleverness, for the sake of it. no egoism; just beautiful music. shine on you crazy diamond would be a good one to react to, next. be prepared for the long intro, though. love your baby, too.
Pink Floyd were known for their live performances, for every point you mentioned. The lights, special effects, and the fact that they always managed to make live versions of their songs consistently better than the studio/audio versions, one of the few groups able to do so. Don't forget, the performance you watched was 1994, the song originally came out in 1979!! I have seen them twice myself, back in the 80's/90's and of the 30+ shows I've been to, those two are top two for sure!! (Yeah, Pink Floyd is my all-time favorite group)
Your baby is so beautiful. I miss little ones, my kids are way older. It's hard when they're really little, but so great at the same time. FYI many people think this is literally the best rock guitar solo ever. I can't pick "a best", even among David Gilmour solos let alone everyone else, but it's on the list.
I saw Pink Floyd on this tour. May 10, 1994, Raleigh, NC @ Carter-Finley Stadium. Still the best show I've seen after many years and hundreds of other bands/shows.
🤗 Welcome to the family! 🥰 You guys have officially entered the "Darkside of The Moon" 😏 which is also a great song 🤯 but has to be played with 'Eclipse' or it sounds like the song just cuts off. 🤗 Also don't sweat the blurred video situation. 😁 We've seen it a gazillion times & more important for y'all to enjoy/experience it.
🤘🙂🤘 Thanks for another great reaction. I believe it was baby approved..👶..Just wanted to suggest Another Brick in the Wall for your next Pink Floyd reaction. Oh Yeah, and all instruments are just an extension of the soul/self, so that's what you're feeling/hearing from that guitar solo...again, great reaction.
It’s great seeing younger people get into Floyd. I’ve been a fan for 3 decades and was lucky enough to see them on the division bell tour in Tampa Florida in 94. Wow, what a stage presence….incredible laser light show synced to the music. Seriously impressive! But the biggest memory was the sound quality, OMG did it sound good. Absolutely amazing sound quality and in quadraphonic no less
I saw pink floyd in the early 90s. Me and my girlfriend at the time took some acid in the parking lot before we went in. Comfortably Numb was the last song they played and it's the only one I remember

Awesome reaction!
Always cool to see people catch the sounds as more than just noise.
All music is cool but the Electic Guitar is the coolest.😎
Thank you so much & facts!
Do Pink Floyd "Hey You"
You started to say it.. Pink Floyd takes you somewhere. Yes, we go there too. It's some version of "It felt like I was traveling through the deep recesses of my mind."
that is why it is constantly voted one of the best guitar solo's ever.
This song has been giving me goosebumps and put tears in my eyes since I first heard this masterpiece, so many years ago
Great Reaction, Next Pink Floyd - On The Turning Away
Mom: "You want me to read you a bedtime story?"
Baby: "Nah, can I just listen to a David Gilmour guitar solo instead, Mommy?" 😜
Can't go wrong with any song from the Pulse concert "Money" "In the turning away" "Sorrow" are a few.
one reactor said that Gilmour's guitar has lyrics. it's a common reaction. it's like he tells you a story with his guitar. no cleverness, for the sake of it. no egoism; just beautiful music. shine on you crazy diamond would be a good one to react to, next. be prepared for the long intro, though. love your baby, too.
Your baby is the star of this reaction. Cute.
Rock historians arguably say this is the greatest guitar solo ever. And David gilmore has said he feels this is his best performance
Beautiful innocent baby sinked into floyd legacy...
Priceless.
kind of leaves you stunned and a week or so down the road you think jez I've got to hear that again
Yo!!! Y’all always bring a smile to my face at the end of the day. Thank you for what you do.
It has been said that David Gilmour doesn't use a guitar amplifier... he plugs his guitar straight into your soul!
Raise your Baby with Pink Floyd, thats the best that parents can do. Beautyful.
I don't know if your kid was listening, but their reactions were so in time to the music that I already love him/her
I just want to say, you kids are just great. Your calm and gracious acceptance and joy in unfamiliar music is lovely.
Beautiful family.
So many memories. I use to lay in the dark and listen to them. They are so mellow.
Yall need to hear yelawolf freestyle over pink Floyd's- money. And pink Floyd- brick in the wall
Your baby have chance, is a good way to listening pink floyd to start his life!!!
WHEN YOU MUSIC LIKE THIS IT HELPS YOU REALIZE LIFE IS MORE THAN YOU THOUGHT IT WAS
Leo Fender made the guitar and God made Dave Gilmour to play it! You don't just listen to the music, he makes you feel it....
Listen to sorrow from same concert. Pink floyd are undoubtedly masters of their craft
I saw pink floyd in the early 90s. Me and my girlfriend at the time took some acid in the parking lot before we went in. Comfortably Numb was the last song they played and it's the only one I remember
