- Some surfing from a session at a Northern NSW pointbreak near Byron Bay, Australia. Featuring Dave "Rasta" Rastavich, Torren Martyn, Jai Glindeman, Conner O'Leary, Cooper Chapman, Ellis Ericson and more.
Not a super hi-fi edit, just a bunch of footage that hasn't seen the light of day yet, from a couple of hours one morning during winter 2020.
I don't film much surfing these days because I can't focus enough - I'd much rather be out there myself! But this morning I'd been out since before sunrise and was already worn out.

Seems to be a trend toward a more functional board - design (widely identified w Torren Martyn).. in black wetsuits - white boards of course, as if to say," this is not trendish, it's pure progression".. but hey, I love the results !

Not sure who it's shaped by but I'm pretty sure it was a twinny, with a bit of extra length. Although Rasta would look smooth on pretty much anything!

The artist is 'James Forest and the Far East' but this track came from a production music library (ie licensed/royalty free) so I'm not sure if it's available anywhere else.

I never wore a wetsuit at the pass. Give me a break. This is stupid
The Pass mostly has it's best waves in summer, so there's usually no need for a wetsuit there. This was filmed early morning in mid winter.
