Having lived 30mins from the nearest hardware store. Having a cache of hardware and materials is a life saver.

Great idea to leverage the trailer space to keep inventory costs down. Being able to stock up when things are on special and of course not having to run to the store all the time save time and money.

The best tool & supply trailer I have seen so far. A number of other channels the trailer looks staged - it is so clean it is hard to imagine it gets any use. I see you drawers have plenty of wear. I also like that it is mostly focused on supplies vs every tool under the sun and interior work shop (but no sawdust anywhere). Best use of drawers - rolls of tape, screws, etc. Many construction workers and even 'bosses' love any excuse to get away from the jobsite to pickup supplies and drink so for those folks they would never want this trailer.

I second every one of those points right down to the show trailer with and inside work table / band saw but not a speck of saw dust.

Like your set up, thanks for showing. Stackup of #6 and #8 screws for electrical wall boxes and ceiling lighting is a good thing to have. Also, some 1in OD rubber gasket for washing machine hoses is valuable to have when there's a leak.

I keep a few plumbing fittings, electrical boxes, switches etc, but no lumber... no room in the trailer with all my tools. I do keep a fair amount of screws/ nails of various kinds, and charge the homeowner for the couple handfuls of assorted screws I always need above and beyond what I order for each job

I’ve never seen anyone with a tool trailer in Sweden we only have tool containers. Could be because the company’s buy all the tools.

Most likely it's because of the space trailer take up and we have trucks in America almost on every corner. Vans make a lot of sense in other countries for sure.

Hey thanks for the videos. I just found you and started watching in the last few weeks. I’m in the St. Clair County area.
Have you tried any of the handyman/CRM softwares like Markate? Do you think a guy starting out in this business needs one?
Do you accept credit cards and if you do how do you deal with those transaction costs. Seems crazy to pay 3% or whatever every time you accept money for a job. Thoughts?

I have only used QuickBooks as of now but may go to Markate. I hear good things about them.
Yes I have accepted credit cards since day one with Square. It’s absolutely easy and the fee is just passed along to customer in my estimates as I add 5% to all estimates in case they want to pay with card. I have gotten jobs over other contractors BECAUSE I accept credit cards.
