I’ve had cats my whole life and they are sooooo self-sufficient it’s so scary when they’re new or little but they can get into all sorts of crazy stuff and be totally fine! The first day I had my current cat she jumped off the second floor banister and my life flashed before my eyes but she was totally fine! Also if they eat something they can’t digest they’ll usually just throw it up! The worry will start to go away after a little because you’ll realize how durable he is!! So happy for you💖
