When I don't have inspiration, what I do is stop trying to make something that is gonna FRUSTRATE me MORE, take a deep breath, rest a little bit of trying and trying and trying, maybe listen to another tracks that you like, then come back after a while. This can take from 10 minutes to weeks (Well at least this is what I do XD......and it works :DDD)
EDWAN For me, its listening to shout outs and imagining that I have already made a track on it and then imagine it being played at a festival. that way I get the melody and the proper idea of which plugin to use :) Loved the video by the way. Could you please do another eq video and be a tad bit elaborate about how to make the bass for the progressive house drop thnx #PanFluteLove
Write catchy chords. . Adlib over chords till something good comes. Correct timing errors. Leave project for a few hours to get fresh ears. Come back , add to or take away from melody and chords till it sounds right. Arrangement. Sound DesignMix , Master. The more powerful your chord progression the easier it will be to come up with a good melody.
Skroppel Couldn't agree more. This is such a good idea, and I'd love to have access to a library like this, but $80 a month is absurd. If I want to spend that kind of money, I'll just buy a pack so I don't have to worry about canceling a membership and accidentally paying $1000 a year.

1. Set BPM to 128 2. Pirate loads of synth plugins 3. Find pluck preset 4. Create catchy tune 5. Add a fuck ton of reverb 6. Create a simple 808 drum loop 7. Make it slowly increase in volume 8. Make a bridge with a breathy synth preset 9. Make a drop 10. Add generic drop vocal 11. Sub bass + kick pattern 12. Repeat a few times and change some things 13. Send to Spinnin' Records 14. Profit

something yuo could do is to start with a pluck and giving some chords with a low pass filter... and then you give power to the chords, with automatition and then, full the lead of the previus pluck

I get the inspiration from beat boxing. I usually just hum the melody and then I play it on the piano and get sure that it's the same. Probably change it but most of it is same. Then finally I copy it to music maker
I don't know if anyone does this, but one of the most common ways (i use) to get inspiration is to listen to some producer's song and start twisting it until i get a basic about what i'm going to do.

i would like to tell something...... the best way to start making music is get some project files of your DAW with the type of music you want.then make a cover and try to make exact same like it.It's an experience and a practice.Do more and then once you've got idea to make music and mastered your DAW, it's time to make your own.

Show how you layer the sounds for the main lead. When I layer I usually get a lot of masking :/
I sometimes use the Riff Machine in the piano roll and it sometimes works well
my favorit technic when im out of inspiration is found a random noice and then find a kick bum inspiration

I usually come up with a beat when in away from my pc, so i voice record that beat and keep for later, this way i never have problems with inspiration
Whenever I have no inspiration, I go to busy places.
I listen for any melodic patterns in the surrounding sounds, e.g. conversations, car sounds, etc.

If you dont got inspiration, use scale markers. They are very useful
I close my eyes, Place notes everywhere and then delete some here and there to make a melody, gets me into it quickly
