Memories of riding the bus to high school, listening to am radio.
The good times
Gary performing so well at this age and you can really appreciate the scale changes and musical hoops in this song. I miss this kind of attention to musicianship by a band and writing that is next level without requiring overdubs and 200 track recordings to get it on vinyl.
It's incredible, rest in peace Gary 🙏🏼
No fancy lights, nobody running around the stage. It's the middle of the day, it's all about the music. That's how good they were. I wish someone would react to the longer version of "Whiter Shade of Pale". with the added verses. It tells the rest of the story.
Cheers and will do next time. Thanks scott.
👍
I love Procal Harum!
Me too!
A fun contrast to Whiter shade and Salty Dog. So much more up tempo and rocking. Conquistador off the debit album is very different more psychedelic and guitar and organ driven. Also of interest the band had in the original incarnation one of the best electric blues players of that era in Robin Trower.
This is my favorite! I loved it
This live version shreds the original on their debut album. They did it a few years later with The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra with this arrangement, but this was even better. You might want to check out their songs Grand Hotel and Brining Home The Bacon.
I will have to check out more! I appreciate the comment brother 🙏🏼
Thank you! I knew you would like it, and I agree with you that Geoff Whitehorn is a great player (he used to be the demo guy for Marshall amps!) If you favour the heavier stuff I think you would like Simple Sister from the same concert.
I will check out simple sister!, cheers my friend
Love you brother
Love you too brother!
Such a great song 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Their music was really varied. Great talents.
Another band you might like to check out around the same era when this first came out is Grand Funk Railroad. They were huge back in the day. They sold out Shae Stadium in 72 hours and The Beatles took 5 weeks to sell it out.
Try Inside Looking Out first. A great video of it on UA-cam
It's amazing
I with you. First time
Yes listen to Procul Harem when they first started “Homburg” is a great one
Will do!
RIP Gary
🥺 rest in peace 🙏🏼
If you want to hear something much harder by them I would suggest "Whiskey Train" but I really love a song they did called "Pandora's Box" it is excellent.
Will do, thanks mike
If you'd like to try out one of the young guns. Then Billy Strings is awesome. He took a rebellious teen trek into heavy metal. People say he has metal influences in his own songs. Wouldn't mind your opinion.
Will do! Thanks for the recommendations
Salty Dog. Same venue You won’t be sorry!!
Hey Jahl, I reacted to Salty Dog, check out my videos brother, I appreciate you
Check out I’ve got enough heartaches. By Spooky Tooth.
I will need to check them out. Thanks for stopping by
Cool and I’m a total Procol Harum fan.
Robin Trower Bridge of sighs.
🇨🇦 Knowing that you like to explore and listen to music you have not heard before, I would like to make some recommendations !
"Do you feel like we do" by Peter Frampton
"Everybody wants to rule the world" by Tears for Fears
"True" by Spandau Ballet
"Who wants to live forever" by Queen
"Who are you" by the Who
"YYZ" by Rush (in Rio live)
"I'm not in love" by 10CC
Write them down and prepare your mind ! 🇨🇦
Will do and I'm ready! Cheers
Please do your viewers a favor, and react to Rodriguez, Sixto is his first name. Album, Cold Fact. Recently deceased. The man deserves to be in the USA's hall of fame. We've been avid followers of his for 50 years, around the world!
Will do!
@TheMetalMixtape The establishment blues, is a good sample to start with, but Sugar Man is his best known.
