    I remember that. I was eight years old, and I lived in New York .

    What a contrast between this blackout and the one just 12 years later in 1977. The way the people behaved tells you a lot about what changed in america. And what the trigger was I believe was Lyndon Johnson's Great Society policies. Ever since then America's been in a downward spiral socially.

    would have been more interesting if it wasn't the same picture for 24 minutes.

      @@Mhel2023 .... I know, I was there.... but there's hundreds of pictures that could have been edited in to make it more interesting. In my mind I am still 12 years old, eating supper by candle, and listening to the transistor radio on the kitchen table. My father is sitting on a train in Grand Central and having good luck that it never left the station.
