Well done thank you for providing the info I own a 12 c250 and I got the (red battery indicator) light on this evening and haven't determined if it's the battery or alternator just yet but you've helped very much. Good job...
Thanks so much Alton! This is a big help. I watched another video on a c300 sedan yesterday and it does not match my c350 4matic in that area but your 250 does, so the instructions for removal of the filter were key! Mine has a big sticker that has a battery with the classic circle and line through it, and a picture of the manual. I thought it was trying to tell me the battery isnt there and I need to check the manual. Well go figure, my 350 page manual does not contain the battery location, just a warning that batteries are dangerous and you should only have it replaced by the dealer. Hahaha that's going to be a hard no from me Mercedes Benz!
Very helpful!! Now my sound for radio/Bluetooth doesn’t work, review cam/ and navigation system giving error message please I see map media … any suggestions
Did you put a battery tender on it when you replaced. Did you lose computer data. I heard computer can get messed up if you don't keep power to the car.
Hey Thomas, I did not lose a thing. My seat memory, radio stations, and all other items stayed intact. The only change seems to be my outside mirrors go into park mode as soon as I put the auto in reverse.
Hey Jessica, Please return to the O'reillys where you purchased your battery to have them check the code for the check engine light. They will do this for free. They will also be able to tell you exactly what is causing the check engine light.
Ivan - I did not connect a memory saver nor another battery. I still own and drive the Benz. I dropping a video soon showing how to change the spark plugs on the same C-Class
I have a 2010 mercedes c 300 and i went to get mine replaced caused its been dying idk if its because its still the original battery but the place i went to they couldnt replace it cause the sticker has no info can SOMEONE tell me what the cranks or information on the battery thats the stickers have if u have replaced it for a diff brand .
Hi Khris, I'm not sure if your car has the same battery or not, but I just purchased a new one yesterday for my 2013 C4S aka c350 4Matic, and it is a 94R group size H7 rated at 80 amp hours, 1000 cranking amps, 850 cold cranking amps, and 140 minute reserve capacity. They also sold (auto parts store, not mercedes dealer) 1 other battery as an exact fit OEM replacement and it is 800 CCA and a little less reserve power.
might be the alternator, because if you let the battery dead completely, the alternator will work extremely hard to charge up the flat battery that can leads to fried alternator.
Normaly it is the one wired to the body first (most of the time negative on modern cars but there are some old ones that are not like that) but only because there is less risk of making a short circuit while removing the other if the ground is already disconnected. I can not think of any electrical reason that would be better for the electronic.
Martin - You can use whatever battery you want to as long as it's specific for the C-Class. If you want to use autozone, go right ahead. I chose to use the battery from the dealership.

Hi thanks for the great video! Can you tell me what brand and size battery fits my 2013 C250? Thank you! I think they put the wrong size in mine because my cover is not closing properly.
Cover not close probably is normal because they deside the summer time can let it cool down , don't worries about that. And your battery must fit otherwise batery cannot fit your car because they have a piece of metal holding your battery
@@talaverajr391 not expensive Talavera. Buy a 3 year old one and keep it for 5 years... then sells it, again. The buying cost+maintenance + reselling price makes it not that expensive compared to what you get.
this is terrible advice. what you are recommending will loose computer pre-sets and will create a hell of a lot of warning lights and need resetting stuff.
My battery is dead at all, my car is blocked in "P", I can´t move it out of the garage untill I can start the engine. I need to recharge or change the battery, and this video was very useful for me. I don´t believe I will loose computer pre-sets just only for a completely dead battery.

Nothing will happen, its just a plastic cover.
