    I own 3 of these Fujifilm W3 3D cameras. Over the previous year, l found mine on ebay, in mint/new condition and boxed. (Two l paid about $200 for, mint and the other about $220 mint). Will never part with any of them. LOVE THEM. I am planning to use my camera/s to create my own retro Viewmaster 3D reels. Greetings from Melbourne.

      Naa, the sony td series might have better quality but the two lenses were too close together, unfortunately making it a weak 3d cam. It means its only suited to capture small objects instead of rooms or scenery. The fujifilm is the only consumer cam that has the lenses at the same distance as human eyes. At least that i know of.

    No one makes stereoscopic 3D cameras with a built in 3D screen.
    These cameras came out when the tv industry was pushing 3D TVs and cinemas were showing 3D films. At the time these products met with consumer indifference and new TVs do not support 3D, so 3D content is not as easy to view or share, since many people don’t have the necessary equipment. Also, at the time of writing I have seen several of these 3D Fuji cameras listed on eBay under £300, with some of them in excellent condition. A few years ago they did go up in price but I guess these cameras now seem dated. The camera doesn’t even film in Full HD, let alone 4K, and people are used to higher quality images. Having said that, when 3D tech was being built around 2011, this was perhaps the most practical 3D camera.

    Hello! Great job on the video ! My dad has owned this camera for many years and it’s only been used the same year he bought it, I don’t use it at all and it’s in mint condition. I’m actually planning to sell it now, I could make better use of its money rather than keeping it stored away. Do you perhaps have any idea how much is it priced/valued currently?

    • @ANAVision
      @ANAVision  2 роки тому

      Have you considered keeping and using it! That of course would be my first recommendation. But if you have to sell it, they appear to range from $400 used to $900 new (AUD) on e-bay currently.

    Note: the reds are for some reason rendered darker with the UA-cam version than the original uploaded video. This causes cross talk in the anaglyph footage that I have at the end of the video which compromises the 3D effect. I will look into this to see what can do to fix this. I watch the original and have virtually zero cross talk, but get a large amount of cross talk in the left eye when viewing on UA-cam. I apologise for this. Please check back soon as I will attempt to upload a fix soon.

    • @ANAVision
      @ANAVision  3 роки тому

      Thanks for your feedback. About the noise, the images my W3 takes appear to be okay, but I've seen images of others that also complain about noise, and they are certainly noisy. So I'm not sure, maybe some of the cameras have issues with this. Does your camera have noise only in low light, or all the time? One thing about 3D photos is that the noise fortunately tends to cancels out somewhat as you are viewing two images simultaneously. This should reduces perceived noise somewhat due to averaging.

    • @supernovasightseeing4133
      @supernovasightseeing4133 3 роки тому +1

      Its noisy regardless of the amount of light. But yes, it does cancel out somewhat when viewing in a stereo viewer or in anaglyph. It was interesting to know that others, but not all, have a similar problem. I have tried to shoot more manually, especially with different ISO settings, but it doesnt help much. 😕

    • @ANAVision
      @ANAVision  2 роки тому +1

      I would say that it is still the best 3D point & shoot camera out there. 10MP per camera = 20MP total is not bad for photos. It's more the video that could be improved upon (only 720p at 24fps). If you want to wait, there may be a camera better suited for video coming out called the QooCam EGO (Kickstarter) but as I don't have one yet, I can't vouch for it.
