- With over a hundred days till the 2023 elections and with campaigns kicking off on the 28th of September, political activities are getting set to enter into full gear. One political party making waves is the Labour party, having recorded quite a number of defections. Actor Kenneth Okonkwo, who recently joined the party has been speaking on the party, its presidential candidate, Peter Obi and the chances of the Southeast geopolitical zone in the next political season. He is asking Nigerians especially those from the Ndigbo nation to approach the election from a different perspective but his call to them to consider only Peter Obi has put him in the firing line with some supporters of the candidate urging him not to present Obi as an Igbo candidate before Nigerians. So how is he finding his new political party and what are the chances of the Labour Party and its candidate? Kenneth Okonkwo, a nollywood actor, Lawyer and Labour party member spoke on the program.

Ken Okonkwo is not just talented he's brilliant, smart and very out spoken. I've always wanted to work with him in the movie industry after my youth service 2015. I was in the movie industry till when I wanted to write my WAEC in the year 2006. Called him several times but he told me that he's now a barrister that he barley act nowadays 😭😭

Kenneth served 1991 as a drama teacher in my school (St. Anthony's College, Ubulu Uku, Delta state during his youth service. A very well spoken and passionate man. I remember being so excited when the movie Living In Bondage came out. That movie, believe it or not is the foundation of Nollywood as we know it today. Vote Labour Party. Vote Peter Obi.
