Gold prospecting is a labor of love. It requires patience, determination, and a deep passion for the pursuit. Keep following your passion, and may you find abundant gold in the rivers of California!
The circular holes in the rock are called Boil Holes - caused by eddy currents swirling rocks/sand/gravel slowly wearing down the rock. Look up how to make a bait pump (on YT) out of PVC piping, so you can suck up all the sand/gravel/gold at the end of digging out a hole, as that is where the gold will be most concentrated. Black sand in the Dream Mat helps protect the gold, as it will sit on top of the gold, gold is 19 times heavier than water so no need to clean out the sluice until you've done the three buckets. When panning the cons, tap on the edge of the pan lip above the cleaned cons every now and then to walk the gold to the top to make it easier to clean up and always do your fine clean up at home as it's easy to lose gold. That's a great spot you've got there, try work for an entire day/couple of days to clean up as much as you can as people watching will hit that spot hard and take all the gold when you're not there. Otherwise you're doing well and we'll be looking forward to watching more gold prospecting videos from you. Great work!
If you learn the pan tap once you have the black sand isolated and start moving it back the tapping on the pan helps separate gold towards the "tap". Makes it easier to then use a suction bottle to grab gold out of each pan.
@@MishaBoylan I think the original name was credited to an old timer called the Blueberry Bounce. Searching that will show an old video from the Gold Prospector Association of America.
please build yourself a Henderson pump or Yabbie pump, a absolute must have in these boil holes, or whenever cleaning bedrock under water. you'll be amazed of what it will pick up... or rather what you missed so far!! Be safe out there!!
7:02 The flow isn't fast enough going through the mat. The bottom mat was getting overloaded with black sands, and you want the cells dancing, spinning and clearing out that material. You can run up to a 1½ of water through that sluice. It's designed to capture the gold in the cells and remove most of that black sand. Best of luck bro!
Theres a stream on west side of Harrison lake bc that has so much garnet parts of the bed are dark red most are as big and bigger than the monster you found

Tysm!
should get urself a gas powered winch and block and tackle gear to move some of the giant rocks if your doing as well as you are
That river hike down is steep
If that was just 3- ½buckets that was a great day! 👍🏻 ✨️⛏️
They aren't even full 5 gallon buckets, but yeah, imma go back in the summer when the water is low and see if I can find better gold
Where are you? What state? It is absolutely beautiful!
Cali!!
hard work pays off...be encouraged..there is gold there..flip them big rocks. Keep Your site secret.
Ty I tried moving 2 rocks but just small gold evrewhere
If I'm not mistaken, an angle of 8 inches per foot is ideal for most sluices.
