Oh btw, someohow Blackbriar songs always make me learn new stuff, which I love.. I had to look up what Alpine Choughs were and if they actually would eat dead mountaneer's eyes ;). But that is the beauty in Zora's writing, every other person would just have written 'the birds have eaten my eyes' but she specifically mentioned the species of bird that lives there in the alps, which is beautiful and makes the music that more enjoyable.

I never heard of this band until Battle Beast announced their North America 2024 tour, and I listened to a couple songs. Nothing quite hooked me at the time. However, once the concert started, and I was listening to it live, I was enthralled. Especially this song, it’s been haunting my mind. You’ve made a life long fan out of me!

A tumultuous romance, with jagged peaks and valleys, being weak in the knees, the sensation of falling and what is left of her self being devoured by birds. It is truly wonderful. I could picture Zora Kulning on a mountain peak, and on her way down taking a very nasty fall. Probably not safe to film a video like that though.

What I like the most about this song - leaving aside the wonderflus acutes of Zora's voice - is that, even though is something completely new, it doesn't depart from what is their initial imprint. I really appreciate that, and this song has already taken hold of my mind: it seems to come from another world.

Oh there's defenitly a few bands I would recognize by the main vocals even if I don't know the song. Volbeat, Icon For Hire, Ghost and Cellar Darling as a few examples. I love that singers in metal have such unique voices.

Love this song very much, listen to it every day). It's about a spirit of mountains, but still this voice calling out melodically among the trees reminds me of my native forests. I see the girls walking in flower wreaths during celebration of Ivan Kupala (Midsummer Night), high fires, songs and dances, dreams and divinations. And a little of dark magic of course. Why not to imagine an inconsolable spirit walking among living, desiring to tell their story. Thank you!
