Donny the his spirit lives among us yesterday, today and forever because he left a legacy his music, his voice, and his life testament resonates through Frank Mcomb and although he has his own style of singing he touches us through his live performances u can feel the inspiration, passion, that comes through it's as if Donny Hathaway is present in the flesh; but his spirit is alive has a strong presence.
I would love to c Frank Mcomb and Lala Hathaway collaborate together on a project. As a singer although I have my own style of singer and I find myself listening to Donny Hathaway/Frank Mcomb and their style, range and pitch rubbing off on me and that there is a positive thing and that has a positive impact on me as being a musician/male singer I'm not professional but I be the best at what I do by my love for old skool/new skool music it doesn't matter what genre of music I listen to the message is what's important.

may i say , The first time i became aware of Frank McComb was through Marcus Miller . And i know that everybody hears Donny Hathaway and Stevie through This Man . And i can of course feel that too . But if i really dig deep into under the Surface just on the Rhodes by itself it is Frank McComb by himself . Whatever comes out through his Voice and Rhodes , it is Frank McComb , from HIS Heart . The runs that he does in unison Piano/Voice are truly remarkable too . I don't have to say more , I am just so blown away and inspired by Frank . Peace & Love everybody
I have to agree with the last person who stumbled across this artist. I was in search for Donny Hathaway music. To my surprise, I came across this very talented and gifted singer. To my amazement, he really has alot of Hathaways influence in his voice and a little Stevie Wonder. How long has his music been around. I've never heard him on the radio. Wonderful chord progressions in his playing. Now this a real artist who needs to be recognize as an original songwriter.
Wow when we lose Stevie we have the perfect person to take his place…a real musician and composer and singer
but you know what? he is just vibing Stevie Wonder and so HIS style is born. It's not original but he is bringing back what was lost about music....soul! Throw in that mix Eric Roberson, Dwele, Bilal...the list goes on with Neo-Soul artist. Long live REAL music!

I did not find out about you via radio. I listening to internet radio and researched your music. It's ashame how music has really turned out. Sometimes I just drive with the radio off or just listen to you on my phone. Stay original and don't change. The music industry today is so gothic. Your music is a breath of fresh air. I am trying to put my friends on to you. I am trying to get my son to explore other music since he is in the band at his school.

I'd say, there is a temptation to think of McComb as unoriginal or samey, but what marks him from the rest is the package of voice and music together. For me there is no one who uses chord changes with interesting edgy vocal melody like him. I don't know if you know music from a technical point-of-view, but McComb is a giant from an all round musical point-of-view. He is not just a vocalist... Sorry, I'm a bit passionate about this dude's music.
I've been following you since 1992, with one of the first things you did on the sound track The Media Man. I also, LoVe the nexts song that you put out called Another Day, and every thing pretty much was silent after that....? I waited, waited, and 2000 you came back into my life, BUT better then before! I would like your new CD The Truth, but the doubal Dis that cost $24, it is some deep sHIT on it that alot of people don't know. Can you do a Christmas CD this year LoVe to hear that from you !
