It’s a life saver when you need reliable internet. I’m often amazed that internet isn’t out more with Mexican Spaghetti wires I see in most neighborhoods.
Great video, thank you! Lost all connections with hurricane and exploring options. Hopefully works as great in PV! Going to look for more info on 'personal' VPN. Thanks!!

Our friend had one in Chicxulub and it kept blowing over lol Finally she had it mounted. We are using it here in Puerto Escondido for the first time. Not impressed so far, but they have the router up in the loft Bedroom. Even close to the router the speed is not great. Thanks for sharing sir. Cheers from 2 Canadians 🇨🇦 living in Mexico.🇲🇽✌🏼
Good information! Thank you! Not sure which internet provider will be available in our area when we move down to Mérida, but now I definitely want Starlink as a backup.
Great video and information. I’ve been thinking about getting Starlink because we want to spend some time in Oaxaca and I’ve heard the internet down there is not that great.
It’s a good investment. After I made this video my internet went down yesterday. Instead of stress when it would be back up, I whipped out the Starlink.
What if You Buy the US starlink (from whatever US state). Can You take it to México and make it work and would it reflect You connected from US instead of México?
16 Mbs because the upload of Starlink is 16 Mbs. I get 250 Mbs on my fiber connection. Starlink does offer faster plans but I only use this in emergencies.
@@Mexitplans That makes sense. My max upload on my server is 35mb but seems to be working fine, just a bit of latency. Sucks the starlink doesnt connect to the data center in Miami... wouldnt need to go through all these hoops.
Ok few questions first is it unlimited internet? Second you were getting over 200 download speed?? I only getting 2 at moust! I live in a ranch in jalisco also hiw much it cost you in pesos to get that speed?
@Mexitplans really thats it! Im trying out the starlink when i come back from the usa in October currently im paying 550 pesos and only getting at moust 4 mbs i feel robbed lol thanks alot!
Sorry. I’m new to all this. So what are the steps for remote work in Mex and using VPN in USA? And will this work if I’m moving around from AirBnbs to AirBnbs in Mex?
Would I need to buy the Starlink System and also the VPN service link you provide? I was just in Zacatecas and my work computer work fine just with any wifi, in the city it worked but at my house in a small town 45 min from the city the internet is slow and goes out too often @Mexitplans
@@MacheteMadness2014 the starlink provides internet access the personal VPN makes it look like your in the USA. If you are allowed to work remotely from Mexico you only need the Starlink.
Starlink works great in Nayarit, especially after the hurricane last week. When friends lost fiber internet connection for 7 days.

The router is pitiful. It needs to be paired with a better wireless mesh.
@@Mexitplans Ill google what that means lol

Glad it was helpful! It’s a good idea for a backup for sure. Especially since you don’t have to have a contract.

I pay in pesos but I ordered my system here.
So as long as the dish has clear view to the sky, it doesn’t have to face a certain way, as in north, east etc?
Nope. It rotates as the sat position changes.
I sent you a pm on Facebook about the adapter.

Is there an extender or deco mesh system where I don’t have to download an app? I have an Airbnb/hotel and want to extend the network to all the rooms
I recommend this system www.mexitplans.com/recommended-products-services

hi bro. thanks for the info. can you change the network name from starlink to blabla whatever you want? and setup your own password?
Absolutely you can change the name of the router ssid and password.
can i buy the starlink equipment in USA and take the device to mexico which where i would pay/create the account there?
I suppose you can since there is service in both places. It may be easier to get in Mexico and less of a hassle trying to bring it.

What about if the starlink is from US and just bring it to the Mexican Border? Do you know if still provides a Mexican VPN?
Starlink doesn’t provide a VPN at All. If it’s in Mexico you will have a Mexican IP address. You need a VPN to have a us IP address.
Wow I'm getting nowhere near those speeds 😮
Wow.
