I have 187 hours on my 5145, installed a 3rd function valve and new handle on the loader handle. Pretty easy install but makes my tractor a grappling monster! I love how heavy this machine is. I’m currently pulling a Great Plains pasture seed no till drill that calls for minimum 55hp tractor. Pulls it like a champ! Outlifts the neighbors similarly sized Kubota, just saying
@@TNRookieFarmer funny you say that. I’m adding a 6075 to my lineup this year, will be pulling a 4x5 round baler with it and a 9’ disc mower and need the extra hp. Excited to see how it performs
Thanks, I no longer have the 5145 traded up to a 6075 stayed with Mahindra though just wanted a cab tractor after a dusty hay season. If I was to go with another 51 series I would opt for the 5155 vs the 45 as at times it struggled in power especially in the higher gears. Other than that it was a good tractor
I’ve got the Mahindra 1626 and I installed the BXpanded Piranha Tooth Bar on the bucket….and it’s an incredible upgrade for the bucket. It easily pulls small trees out of the ground, including 3 inch pines, just by pushing the tooth bar into the tree and rolling the bucket up. Besides the grapple, the Piranha Tooth Bar is the best piece of equipment I have for the tractor….it’s WELL worth every penny spent! Yes you can back drag the bucket and get a smooth surface, the Piranha tooth bar is 1/2 inch thick (or thicker) and it makes a nice “plane” for back scraping. You had mentioned the tooth bar option that Mahindra offers, so I thought I’d share my thoughts on a different brand…..it’s absolutely an incredible tooth bar. Thanks for the review, God bless you brother! Sincerely, Donnie (Standing Goats Rescue)
For the cupholder I drove a Kenworth that had large cupholder. I got a beer cozy and put it on my mug and it fit good. One mug I had to cut one inch off the top of a cozy to put on it, like a doughnut ring.
Thanks for the reply! Yeah I have to use one of those foam cuzy as. well, It’s funny some people may see it as silly or petty but somebody make cup holders a standardized size. I didn’t realize they have ultra big gulps in India
I just bought a 5155 and that speed control knob wobbles as well. But I can’t even get mine to turn, I’m afraid I’m gonna break it. Is there a trick to get it to turn?
Does your 3 point not move down when when you lower the lever? Most likely you are as fast as it goes down and the knob is tightened fully opened. so i would turn to slow it down to see if it is free’d. I am here to tell you…. this after thought on Mahindra’s part is in fact a “standard feature”
@@HMcCarty81 Comparing my 5145 to my ford 3600 3 point, it is slower. not much though in a no load situation. the 5145 design is for sure an afterthought and is terrible, wish I had a better answer to help you out.
Hey just a heads up on the 50 hr service, the filters are painted on so you need to scribe around the sealing area and get the machine good and warmed up before trying to crack them off, did my service my self, it is very extensive , all fluid drained, and filters of course, front axle, suction strainer....I think there are 7 or 8 drain plugs under there, a little over 10 gallons maybe 12 or so, my oil looked great and dealer suggested I filter the fines out of it and just put it back in, so that's what I did....took detailed pics and videos of the service for warranty reasons, good luck with your machine, I love mine
My lower links don’t raise up as high as yours, so my bush hog drags the ground. Hydraulic fluid is full. Just had 50 hr service. It’s never lifted very high. Any ideas? Thanks.
Is it a 51 series. If it is if they don’t go any higher than say 9:00 or basically a 90 degree position then call your dealer it will need service mine broke something inside. I am on the FB Mahindra group and now have seen a few 51series with same issue of lift arms not going up all the way.

Awesome, I just traded in my 5145 for a 6075 for the cab and a little more power

@@kurtisqualls8766 awesome so far I am liking the 6075 it for sure is different animal compared to 5145
Excellent review, helps me with deciding which brand and model to buy.

Thanks Donnie! that was my plan to get an actual tooth bar that is simple to add/remove.

Great video. Thank you. Picking mine up soon.
Good deal enjoy. I really like mine. Ready for my backhoe to arrive. Have a project for it waiting

a hardened steel cutting edge (smooth) makes a huge difference! i have tym t494
I am sure it makes a difference; I may go with the removable tooth bar in the future..
I am also in E. Tn and thinking about a new tractor. Are you happy with your dealer? Who did you use?
Thanks.
Yes and no, I ended up just getting a 6075 traded the 5145 to a dealer in S Carolina.
Did you ever find out anything on the wobbling lift arm speed controller? I had the exact same experience when looking at mine.
Yeah, I do believe it is a “standard” feature 😊
@@TNRookieFarmer how unfortunate

Do you wish you spent the extra money and got the 5155? Or are you happy with the 45
actually the 45 does all I need currently. The cost difference for 10hp and no added features was the deal changer
The extra expense and complexity of adding the turbocharger for 10hp would not be worth it for me.
I've got family in in Crossville.
Great live in Lancing, about 30 min away!
